Elizabeth Grace's POV
One year later...
"Elizabeth!" the sweet girl almost shrieks as she rushes to hug me when Magda opens the door.
If Nina weren't as small as she is, she probably could've taken me down with the amount of force she hit me with when she embraced me. She is beyond excited that I've come back for a few days. Magda giggles a bit at the scene in front of her.
"Hello, again," I say to Nina, who I lift into my arms while also attempting to get a hand on my bag to throw it back over my shoulder.
"Let me get that for you," her mother offers. "It seems you have your hands full."
"Thank you," I tell her as I walk through the door to see a smiling Erik in the living room.
"Hello, little one," he greets me as I set Nina down, and he pulls me into a hug.
"You know I'm 25, right?"
"You know I don't care, right? I will always call you that until the day I die."
"Of course, you will."
Nina tugs gently on my sleeve. I kneel down so that I am at eye level with her. Her huge smile seems to span across her entire face.
"What is it, Nina?" I ask excitedly.
"I want you to meet my friends," she tells me in a rushed, enthusiastic voice.
"Well, I'd be honored to meet your friends."
Nina runs towards the door and beckons me to follow. I look back at Erik as if to ask exactly what she's doing. He just laughs in response.
"You'll like this," he states with an assuring grin.
