My eyes open to be met with dark.

Did I die already?

I'm on a too soft place to be dead, there's no flames around me.

Looking around I spot rays of sunlight coming from... Lukas bedroom windows.

Oh hell no.

Trying to sit up, I curse the sharp pain going through my arm, and looking at it, I see a white bandage around, blood soaking in it

The door opens and even through the low clarity of the room, my eyes make out his tall figure entering inside.

"Here." Lukas says, giving me a cup of water and an aspirin.

I gulp it all down in seconds, sighing with relief.

I was needing that cup of water.

Looking beside me, I see a aid kit and grab it, putting the pillow my head was on against my back to give me some sort of sit up form.

I undue the badge and start making a new one.

Lukas is seated at the edge of his bed, observing me.

After wrapping tightly my wound, we seat in silence, his head down as his fingers slightly rub his chin.

"You're quiet." I croak out.

It's unusual of him.

He's either glaring or saying shit to me.

Guess it's mutual.

"The kids are with their parents already." He says blankly, making me remember the three kids.

I hadn't remembered that yet.

But I'm glad they did, those kids will have trauma for the rest of their life but at least have a family to support.

"And the rest?" I question, he nods.

Still not looking at me.

I don't mind, I don't look forward to see his face anyways.

But it's pissing me off a little bit.

He's not one to be quiet, and I can't see anything on his face, so I don't know if he's angry, happy, or crying.

Please not crying. I can't deal with that shit.

"Why did you do it?" Lukas asks, hazel eyes finally snapping to mine.

I frown. "Did what?"

"Put yourself above me."

I smirk. "I thought you liked that."

"I'm serious." His voice carries a serious and harsh edge.

Bummer.

"Shouldn't you be grateful?" I roll my eyes, annoyance creeping through me.

He was better quiet after all.
