Blood fills my view, as I step over the dead bodies lying on the ground.

We have two down!

Three injured!

My eyes catch the hardening gaze of Lukas hearing what's going on between his men.

We all run every corner of the huge mansion, throwing down doors, killing every man that breathes ... and isn't from The Serpents.

Ours, therefore.

Lukas and I head to the basement, the stairs made with cement, matching the walls, the air humid and cold. It's dark and gives me chills, along with memories of when they used to beat me when I passed out at the trainings.

Because I was weak.

Reaching the end of the large stairs, Lukas puts his arm blocking my way as he peaks inside the dark corridor we can barely see ahead, the only light being the faint yellow of the lamps above each door.

He lifts four fingers, and I tap his back twice.

We share the killings. Half you, half me.

We step in front, each killing two, blood tainting the gray stone ground and walls.

I turn around to see if no one climbs down the stairs, and Lukas clears the way for the rest of the hall.

"It's clear. I'm opening the doors." Lukas says, and I hum, my gun ready to be used as I cover for him, in case anyone shows up.

Where's Dimitri?

We have eyes outside so if he left we would know.

"Angel." Lukas mutters and I look back over my shoulder. He's frozen at the door, and looking inside, I feel my anger flare up.

"They're just fucking kids." I growl, seeing the six girls, shaking and hugging each other, tears running down her faces.

I see myself in them.

This fucking asshole.

"Cover for me."I say to Lukas, going to open the other four doors. Full of women and little girls not older than fifteen.

Sick motherfucker.

There's still a last door at the end of the hall, the door stronger than the others and I try to break it with my foot but I can't.

Sighing and wishing whoever is inside isn't near the door, I shoot the knob, the door retreating back with a groan.

My heart stops.

No.

The gun falls to the floor, and I feel like this isn't real.

I can't feel myself, my breathing, my heart beat, and Lukas call of my name seems distant.
