A/N: I know, finally! RIGHT? I've updated after how many months! Aren't you guys excited? I got my laptop back. And omg the repair was expensive I'd cry. But nonetheless, the best thing is, I'm updating.
But I'm so sorry for the lack of updates for months! I'm such a bad writer.
I will try to post a chapter every other week (and the fastest I can update is a week) since I'm still writing the chapters. You know, fresh off my mind.
This chapter is short, but I hope you'll like it. Please do share this story to everyone you know and if you like it, vote for it too! Thank you so much. And ohh! don't forget to comment! I'd love to hear your ideas. Thank you so much!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Love you!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CHAPTER 6
Can’t wait to see you at home later. ;)
I read his message again and I had goosebumps on my arms. I was expecting this. I could feel the sarcasm in his words, even hearing it in my mind! Concentrating on other stuff was the only way I could get rid of the things Daniel might do to me while living with him.
Masayang naghintay ang kambal sa patio. Dash wore a smug look kasabay akbay sa balikat ng kakambal niya.
“Hi my little darlings… I’m back!!!”
“I knew it… I’m such a boss next to Dane. HA HA HA!” Sigaw niya at tumakbo papunta sa akin. The kids hugged me tightly and never let go, prompting me to practically drag them back inside the house. Dash still laughed like a king had just found treasure.
Babysitting the twins was one of the easiest jobs I’ve ever had. Some thought I couldn’t do it because they’re children at the prime of their rowdiness. At first I had doubts, but eventually they opened up to me and both of them were beyond amazing. The older twin, Dash, was more mature and he takes good care of the shy Diane. No one told me yet how he came to be like that but I had a good guess: his mom. I’ve never seen a picture of Mrs. Belyakov in their house, not a single picture. I wanted to ask them about her, but that would be invading their privacy. Also, I wouldn’t want to get in trouble so I kept my mouth shut and decided to ask some other time.
I couldn’t be happier than this. The kids took me to their guesthouse and according to Diane it’s called the “pool house”. When I asked why it’s called that she answered, “Because pool is next to it, duh.”
She tried to be mean, but it was just the cutest thing ever. She crossed her arms and rolled her big and beautiful eyes then pouted.
“Did you just roll your eyes at me?” I asked her nicely, about to laugh. She nodded in response.
“Well, little Miss Diane Belyakov. No matter how you try to act mean to me it still wouldn’t work because you are the prettiest and cutest girl I’ve ever met. Also, I won’t forget you being the most humble kid I’ve known.” Sinabihan ko si Diane in the sweetest voice I had and playfully pinched her cheeks.
“I want to be like you when I grow up.” She said. “You are so f-fun. You are always happy. And… and I like your face when Danny makes you angry.”
“What? What are you talking about little girl? I’m confused!” This little girl is making me insane in a positive way. It didn’t occur to me that even at her young age and the innocence that she possesses, she’d be able to notice something about Daniel’s behavior towards me.
Ganyan naman sila eh, we can’t avoid the way they are. That’s what they are, kids growing up in this society.
Sabi ko sa kanya with full on sarcasm in my voice.
“Whaaaattttt…” Her response wasn’t even a question, her lips forming an ‘O’ and it was just the most adorable thing that I witnessed from her.
Chuckling at her, she pouted and Dash just laughed. “I said, ‘Girl, you’re so pretty’, and that’s the literal translation of what I said. Now! Who wants to play tag?”
Without hesitation, Dash raised her arm and yelled, “Me! Tag, you’re it! HAHAHA!!!” I rolled my eyes and sighed.
“This is what I get for being old. You guys better start… RUNNING!!!”
They started running along screaming and laughing at the same time, and then I did what I have to do: chased after them. I ran out of the guesthouse in pursuit of two adorable twins. Running around the house seems dangerous but theirs isn’t at all. It was too spacious, and I’ll always be surprised at that fact. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment and there’s only two people living in that tiny apartment and yet if people who doesn’t know us comes into that place, I’d bet hundred bucks that they’ll think we’re hoarders. It’s actually kind of a funny story to begin with.
Namalayan kong tinatawanan ko sarili ko while running. And how insane would that be to other people if they saw me running around and laughing by myself. Okay, that was redundancy but the next event that transpired was so fast that I didn’t realize it until I was struggling to stay afloat in the 8-feet part of the pool. I’m quite the swimmer but when things like this happen, I lose my concentration and control of what I do.
Then I get scared.
It took me an awful minute to finally let my arms do what it needed to do. I swam to the edge and climbed out of the pool quickly and stomped my way to Daniel. I stood so close to him and raised my head so I’d look straight to his eyes and hoping that my glare would bury deep in the depths of his soul. Heck, does he even have a soul?
“Belyakov, what the f*ck was that for?” I was mad. Really mad that I immediately raised my hand and was so close to slapping him, but I remembered the kids. I didn’t want them to think that I’m a violent woman and with much effort, I put down my arm.
I breathed heavily to calm myself down. It was slowly working and I was grateful to the kids that they were here. If they weren’t, I don’t know what I’d do to this arrogant bastard. “Punyeta ka, Daniel.”
He didn’t say anything at all, and I hated him for that.
“Kids, I’m sorry if I said a bad word. Never, I really mean never ever say that word okay?” They nodded silently. I smiled at them, or at least I tried to smile. “I’m sorry I don’t think we can continue with our game. Let’s do it tomorrow when you get out of school. Is that fine with you?” Another series of nods.
I never looked back to Daniel and just walked back to the guesthouse- my room for 3 weeks starting tonight.
