Ugh, what is taking him so long? He’s usually here by now.

I looked down and turned my watch towards me. 8:50am.

Crap, ako pala yung masyadong early. I forgot that I got here earlier than planned. I just shook my head in disbelief and kept sighing.

“Kaitlyn, you’ll get older if you keep sighing like that.”

I didn’t hear footsteps.

Shit. Boses pa lang kilalang-kilala ko na. Tinawag ba akong matanda? Pero hindi ko magawang magalit sa taong yun, lalo na sa mukha niya.

“Hey Danny, are you saying I’m old?” I asked, and I moved my things from the spot I reserved for him and he took over.

Too close, at sobrang gwapo niya talaga!

“Well, you are older by two years. And believe me, if you sigh like that, I’d be surprised if wrinkles won’t show up instantly.”

He ended up smirking and I rolled my eyes at him.

“Whatever.”

Tumahimik siya pero he kept fidgeting and it bothered me.

“What, Daniel?”

He smiled. He freaking smiled at me. This boy's gonna be the reason I’ll be in a psych ward sooner or later kasi the moment he curved his lips, nag start na mag work ang imahinasyon ko at yung mga image na sumusulpot sa isipan ko were way too intense and crazy. Kulang nalang mag nosebleed ako kagaya nang mga babae sa anime.

“Nothing. Just wondering what you’ll be doing this summer.” And he went back to his phone.

“Philippines. Heading there at the end of next month. You?”

“Oh… uhm, probably going to visit Russia or go backpacking in Europe.”

“You’re going back? That’s cool! I kinda wanna go backpacking in Europe too. I wanna go!”

“Too bad you’re going to the Philippines.”

“Ugh, I know. Why don’t you come to the Philippines then? Wait, don’t answer that. I already know you’re answer. That’s like refusing me the third time and it’s already embarrassing enough.”

“I still need to save up.”

“You bought the 3-day ULTRA ticket without any hesitation. That cost hundreds. Plus, you’re rich so you can afford it.”

“I’ll think about it.”

“There you go again with thinking about it. Let’s watch a movie this weekend.”

I’m pretty sure he’s gonna come up with an excuse again…

“Uhh… I can’t. I have work.”

And… I scoffed because I was right.

“See what I’m saying? I know you don’t like me, Danny. But please respect my feelings. Why did I even try?”

He was about to say something but another classmate came and stood in front of us. It was suspicious kasi nakatayo siya really close to where I was sitting, but he and Danny were happily chitchatting. Good thing my professor came and he left.

“I don’t want to hurt your feelings.”

Lumingon ako sa kanya and looked at him. Shit. His green eyes are so mesmerizing. Are all Russians like this?

“You already told me that, remember? I don’t want to hear those words again. You’re such an asshole, Danny.” Tumayo na ako at pinulot yung gamit ko from the floor, and he did too.
