Being a British multi-cultural Muslimah is actually HARD. Living in a country where you're a minority WITHIN a minority (Muslim/black). People may not actively be like "yo. Stop being Muslim. Take off your scarf" but they might as well be!

Firstly, as a black person. We are a minority. We went through injustice in the past. Slavery bro, like, why?? Being punished for nothing but the colour of our skin. The worst thing is though, is that I've heard people say " Dw, we are SO past that now".

Mhmm. The very fact that there is a black history month tells you something is STILL wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I do think society is better, BUT we still have a long way to go!

Secondly, being a Muslimah. Because I wear a scarf, I'm instantly recognised. I LIKE being famous lol, but when the media warps our image so much, it's hard. People think you're going to blow up the place, and they generalise ALOT.

Why cant there be a Muslim history day? That would so awesome. Muslims have done so much to contribute to this world. It might even raise awareness.

Some people might see me and think "twin towers" but brooo. I wasn't even there. I live clear across the world. I don't even think I was alive at that time-

that being said though, I'm not complaining. just go easy on us people. and don't blame us for other peoples mistakes.
