Part Two

"Actually, I quit." Jack's voice rang out around them. The duo jumped apart to find themselves in Jack's spaceship. "Nobody takes my frock. Most people notice when they've been teleported. You guys are so sweet. Sorry about the delay. I had to take the nav-com offline to override the teleport security." He shrugged.

Emma crossed her arms and ignored Rose's smirk while trying to avoid eye-contact with the Doctor. She enjoyed dancing with him more than she should of.

"You can spend ten minutes overriding your own protocols? Maybe you should remember whose ship it is." The Doctor scoffed, his gaze frequently flickering to the brunette while he spoke. He gulped down the lump in his throat when she didn't look back at him.

"Oh, I do. She was gorgeous." Jack sighed happily, "Like I told her, be back in five minutes." Jack moved under the ship's console.

"This is a Chula ship." The Doctor stated, looking around the small ship.

"Yeah, just like that medical transporter. Only this one is dangerous."

The Doctor snapped his fingers and the golden fireflies from earlier enveloped his hand. Emma, sucking up her embarrassment, turned to the Doctor to gently poke at the small swarm.

"They're what fixed my hands up Jack called them Nanogenes." She told him.

"Sub-atomic robots. There's millions of them in here, see? Burned my hand on the console when we landed. All better now. They activate when the bulk head's sealed. Check you out for damage, fix any physical flaws. Just like your scars, Em." He nodded to the woman in front him, smiling when he saw her beautiful brown eyes again. He looked to Jack who had sat back down in his Captain's chair, "Take us to the crash site. I need to see your space junk." The Doctor ordered.

"As soon as I get the nav-com back online." Jack nodded, flicking a switch. "Make yourself comfortable. Carry on with whatever it was you were doing." He smirked at the Doctor and Emma.

"We were talking about dancing." The Doctor corrected the man, awkwardly.

"It didn't look like talking." Jack smirked, looking at the brunette who I was obviously very embarrassed. He watched her run her hand through her hair nervously and a warm feeling ran though him. She was so familiar but he was sure they had never met before.

"Just talking." Emma confirmed, a tight smile on her face.

Emma sat with Rose on a large box near Jack's Captain chair. She watched with curious eyes as Jack flew his ship smoothly and proficiently. Emma glanced back at the brooding Timelord a few feet away before speaking up when Jack turned his chair to face them. "So, you used to be a Time Agent now you're trying to con them?"

"If it makes me sound any better, it's not for the money." He sent her a tight smile and tugged at his black fingerless gloves.

"For what then?"

"Woke up one day when I was still working for them, found they'd stolen two years of my memories. I'd like them back."
