[23] Masquerade [23]

It was the day of the Masquerade, Y/N woke up in the comfort of her sheets, still in Dream's room surrounded by the other mattresses. Most of the people were still sleeping, instead of Dream who was no where to be seen.
Then things clicked. Yesterday the voices were loud, now she could hardly hear them. All seemingly happy, Phil and Techno resided in the castle as well. Maybe they were still here. Y/N sat up on the mattress, the covers falling to cover her legs, now seeing Dream's empty bed. Sapnap's mouth was slightly ajar, dribbling slightly on his pillow. George was covered in his blanket, not being able to see his face. And Minx was just sprawled with one leg out of the cover and her hair covering most of her face,

The girl yawned, pushing the cover off fully and moving her body to stand from the mattress on the floor. Her oversized t-shirt fully covering a quarter of her thighs, shorts underneath. Covering her mouth for the second yawn of the morning, a knock was at the door a someone walked in. He looked like he wanted to speak, "How many words?" He murmured, taking Y/N by surprise.

"As many as you like" Y/N replied, sending a sort of glee on his face. Who is making him have specific words?
"Oh! I'm sorry Princess, my Master would like to see Prince Dream and someone directed me here?" He spoke, bowing after the princess who was shocked. Then keeping her composure,

"I am pretty sure he is in his office, would you like me to take you?" She replied to the clearly muted boy, he nodded vigously and she strode over to him. The butler moved out the way for her to go first, which she gladly did. He walked beside her after that.

"Sorry I just woke up, do you mind if I ask who your Master is?" Y/N walked down the corridors, mildly stopping to think in her mind the way with the 4 corridors.
"Oh, Sir Billium miss"  He answered immediately,

"Sir Billium?" She asked with humour in her voice, no way that Techno is coming to the Masquerade.

"Yes Miss." He continue to answer shortly,
"And your name?" Y/N continued, taking another turn and walking down the stairs.

"I don't have one Princess" The butler continued, following the girl down some small steps.
"You don't have a name?" The girl was surprised, what did Techno tell him?

"No Miss. People call me Butler" Butler said with a cheery smile,

"Did Sir Billium tell you not to have a name?" Y/N continued to question,
"I've always been with my Master, never had a name Princess." She could tell he was kind of excited to talk, like he never is able to.

The door for the office came into view, Butler just kept on talking about random things. At the end of his speech, he said he always wanted to talk like this,
Y/N stood outside of the door to the office,

Butler kept rambling about everything, she listened to him. Seeing him happy made her happy. Then he stopped himself randomly, realising she stopped. "Oh my! I'm so sorry from rambling ma'am." He bowed his head,

"No it's okay! Don't worry about it, I'll check if he's in here, okay?" The boy seemed to smile at this, now she realised how young he was for the job.

The boy nodded as she knocked on the door, a voice emitted from inside as she walked in. "Hey,"
"He-" Dream was leaned on his desk reading something, glancing up for a second and stopping his sentence, quickly looking away to find something.

Butler walked in behind her, Dream grabbing the plastic mask and tying it around his face. "Hi, who's this?" His voice seemed strained,

"This is.. Butler" She stopped mid sentence, still confused why there isn't a name "He needed you for something, I need to go. I'll see you at breakfast" Y/N smiled at the man before going out the room, leaving Butler to say what he needed to say.
