Recap.

"Well I have a question to ask you. Ariel will you mar-" Jeremiah started asking when the doorbell cut him off.

I was frozen. What was he going to ask me? My mom started to stand up but I quickly took off for the door.

I needed to get out of there. I wasn't ready for that step. I walked over to the door and swung it open.

"Ariel!" The person smiled.

My mouth dropped open. This had to be a dream.

"Oliver." I whispered, breathlessly.

"I missed you so much!" He smiled and tried to hug me, but I placed my hand on his chest to stop him.

"W-what are you doing here?" I stuttered, still shocked to see the him.

"I came for you. I never should have let you leave. It was stupid."

"No." I quietly said.

"What was that, my dear?" He asked, worry coming onto his face.

"You can't be here. Jeremiah is inside and you're supposed to be at the palace. With other girls!" I sighed running my hand through my hair.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you. And are you and Jeremiah a thing now?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Ari, who's at the door?" Jeremiah asked walking up.

As soon as he saw Oliver he grabbed my hand and pulled me close.

"What is he doing here?" He hissed.

I shook my head.

"What about the letter?" I asked, "What happened to moving on?"

"I can't! I can't when I still love you!! When you left you took a piece of my heart! I need you!!" He begged.

"I-I can't do this." I whispered before running up to my room.

I slammed my door and slid down it; crying into my hands.

I was doing fine with Jeremiah, but then Oliver had to show up and ruin it. I hit my head, repeatedly against my door.

"Ariel? Can I come in?" A female voice asked.

I nodded my head. Then realized they couldn't see me.

"Yes." I croaked, moving to beside my bed.

My door opened slowly and Angel walked in, carrying a plate of cookies and two cups of milk.

"Hi." She smiled weakly at me.

A tried smiling back but failed.

"So, why did you lock yourself up here?" She asked.

"Maybe because my boyfriend was about to propose then the Prince showed up who just happened to be my ex-boyfriend." I said sarcastically.

"Yeah, life sucks." She smiled sitting next to me.

I grabbed a gingerbread cookie and nibbled on it.

"Where is everyone?" I asked after a couple of minutes in silence.

"Mom sent everyone home. Tommy went to his room so mom is making sure that Jeremiah and Oliver don't start killing eachother."

"I don't know what to do." I mumbled.

"Follow your heart." Angel suggested.

"How can I do that when my heart isn't complete?"

"Find out which guy has the missing piece."
