Blog Ten: Basketball

~+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+~

Ang ganda ko. Ba’t kasi ang ganda ko, right? At bakit hindi makita ni Cyber ‘yun? He’s ignoring me na naman kahit na I’m talking to him for like, an hour na.

“Cyber,” tawag ko.

Deadma. So ganyanan na hashtag forever? Lagi na lang niya akong dine-deadma. Sumandal ako sa seat ko at humalukipkip. O… kay. So ayaw akong pansinin ni Cyber. Oh. Panunuorin ko na lang siya! Right!

I put my chin on top of my palm at sumilay sa guwapo niyang face. It took a few minutes until he suddenly shot me a look. “Ano?”

I blinked. “What?”

“Ba’t ka nakatingin sa akin? May kailangan ka?”

“Wala,” I said, shaking my head.

“Eh bakit ka nga nakatingin sa’kin?” iritadong tanong niya.

“I’m bored,” I said, shrugging.

“Seriously, Celeste, you always get bored. Don’t you have any school work to do?”

“I told you, tinatapos ko muna lahat ng dapat kong gawing school works before ako tumambay here,” I said smugly.

“Apparently, you don’t get many school works,” he muttered. “Paano nangyari iyon eh halos pareho lang naman tayo ng subjects sa Journalism?”

“Oh, marami kaya.”

“So are you saying you finished them already?” he asked in disbelief.

“Uh-oh,” I said in a bored voice.

“Even the research papers?” he asked, raising his eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes. “Of course!”

He stared at me for a long time. “Unbelievable,” he muttered.

Ngumuso ako. “Why unbelievable?” I wailed.

“Never mind.”

I crossed my arms again. “How mean.”

He just sighed and shook his head. “Kung wala kang ibang gagawin, doon ka sa puwesto mo. Hindi ‘yung iniistorbo mo ako dito.”

“Iniistorbo ba kita? I’m just making silay to you.”

“Nakakailang,” he snapped.

“So arte,” I complained and stood up. I stomped off and went over to my desk. The office of Belleza Journals was empty except for us. Sabi ni Cyber, nasa field daw ‘yung ibang student journalists at naghahanap ng scoop. When I said magfi-field din ako para maghanap ng scoop, he gave me an evil look and told me to just stay put inside the office. Sabi niya I would just be looking for trouble lang daw. How mean, right?

“Cyber, I’m so, so bored,” I said. “Let me find scoops for you.”

“Huwag na. Baka kung saan ka lang mapadpad at gumawa ka pa ng eksena.”

“How mean! I’m so not gagawa ng eksena!”

“Just behave and wait for the camp,” he snapped.

“Camp? OMG! I almost forgot! Kailan iyon?”

“This weekend,” he muttered. “Bakit? ‘Di ka pa nagpaalam?”

I shrugged. “My parents are not around, so wala akong dapat pagpaalaman. Oh, right. My ugly brother. I forgot all about him.”

He looked at me. “Cielo,” he muttered.
