It's Saturday and so much has happened. First of all, I was able to admit Zephyr to school. Working in the business has been good and I learn new things every day. We also have work on Saturdays but we are released earlier. Once we were done I decided to get to work on what is my priority right now, that is making sure Zephyr stays with me. It was a rainy day and thankfully it started a little after we got home.
I was in the house's library while everyone else was doing their business, not everyone was home yet and we decided not to have supper at each other's houses because it was said to be raining for the rest of the day. While working to find an attorney and trying to figure everything out financial-wise, I hear a knock on the door and it was Iduna.
"Sorry to disturb you, but can you join me in the kitchen?"
"Sure of course." I followed her to the kitchen and we met with Valka, when did she get here?
"We know about everything and we know just how we can help."
"Oh. I really appreciate it but I don't want you to spend so much on me. You have already done enough with your hospitality and...."
"Hold on, we will not be spending anything on our behalf. It is yours," now I was confused. Iduna got up and grabbed a large manilla envelope that was on top of a covert. Then Valka explained, "Before your mother died, she left us this. Unfortunately, we only found out about it a month ago because the attorney was apparently still looking at her estate. When we heard about your situation, we knew that you needed it which is why when we heard the news that you were done paying the bills, Iduna thought about inviting you over but as we all know, there was a change of plans."
"This is yours and we know just what you need it for." I was given the manilla envelope and I was a little confused. Mom died when I was 15, which is a long time ago, and her estate was clear. I was given a part and unlike my former husband, she made sure no depts had to be paid. I open the envelope and what do I see? I see documents and a check of 500,000 dollars. I was in shock.
"Mom," I whispered as I looked up at Iduna and Valka. I don't think I can thank them enough for this, but they said they got this a month ago so, why did they wait?
"I really don't know what to say. Although how come you wanted to give me this here and not let me know while I was there?" I asked not trying to sound rude.
"We know that Ingrid is capable of many things and we were afraid of what could happen if she were to know about this." Makes sense. I was emotionless about this because of the shock and how mom is helping me out even though she is gone. Now I should get to work.
Zephyr POV
I was playing with Malarie in her bedroom and we were sharing our dragons. Mister Fishlegs also got her one a long time ago, she says it's from the sea.
