I woke up to Julie shaking me. Can I ever just sleep in?

"Kay! Wake up!"

"I'm up!" I said sitting up

Julie and Connie sat on my bed

"So what happened?" Connie asked

"He was hanging out with some blonde girl" I said monotonously

"WHAT" Julie yelled

"Yeah it's fine I'm over it" I shrugged going into the bathroom to change

Our game isn't until 7 tonight so I have all day

I got dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a usa crop top then walked out.

"Hey guys I'm going to breakfast, wanna come?" I asked the girls

"I'm okay, I don't usually eat this early" Connie said

Julie looked at me "I already ate earlier, I always wake up early"

"Okay, I'll see you guys later" I said walking out the door

I made my way down to the cafeteria and sat at the empty USA table piling pancakes onto my plate.

I heard someone sit across from me and I looked up, seeing the last person I thought I'd see

"What are you doing sitting here Gunnar?"

He spoke looking at me "I came to apologize for my team last night"

"Don't worry about it. Your coach is a prick but you do need to learn to speak for yourself in front of them"

He sighed "I know, it's just not that easy"

"Actually it is" I laughed lightly

He rolled his eyes

"Thank you for talking to coach" I smiled

"He told you?"

"Yeah, I really appreciate it"

"It was no trouble" He smiled warmly

"Okay not that I'm not enjoying this talk because I am, but you should get outta here before one of my teammates come down. Especially my brother"

He nodded "I'll talk to you another time Portman"

"See ya Stahl" I said as he got up and walked away

I was eating my pancakes in peace. Well kinda, I still can't get the thought of Dwayne out of my mind. Why did he lead me on? I mean, if he didn't want to be with me he could've just told me right?

"Kay what's going on?" I heard someone ask

Oh gosh it was Dean. He can't know

"What to you mean? I'm just eating my pancakes" I smiled

"Bull shit"

"No really it's cool I'm just tired"

"Kay I'm your brother. I know when you're upset"

I looked down at the table "Don't worry about it Dean"

"Was is that fucking cowboy?!" He asked angrily

My eyes widened "No"

"I fucking warned him" He said standing up

I grabbed his arm "Dean just drop it"

He looked at me angrily

"Please just drop it"

"Fine." He said "Come with me"
