We all boarded the plane

"Back to Minnesota we go!" Goldberg cheered

Averman turned to me "Kay! I have to show you around! You can come hangout at my house and we can go to the mall and then-"

I put my finger on his lips "I'm supposed to leave tomorrow morning"

He frowned

"But hey, I promise I'll visit soon okay?"

"You better or we will have some serious issues"

I laughed and turned to Julie who was on the other side of me

"Okay so, you have to tell me, what's going on with Dwayne?"

"Honestly?"

She nodded

"I don't know. Like we've gone on a date and kissed more than once but we aren't together. And tomorrow we will be 1,000 miles away from each other"

Julie nodded "That's true, but only one phone call away"

"Yeah, you're right. But I don't even know if Dwayne wants a relationship so I'm just gonna wait and see I guess"

"Well I have a feeling he does, I mean have you seen the way he looks at you?!"

I laughed "So what about you? You said you and that guy didn't hit it off right?"

"Yeah, so I'm just waiting for someone to come along, I'm in no rush"

I nodded as we carried on conversation for the rest of the ride

"Alright guys we just landed!" Coach said standing up

Once again, Averman clapped like a middle aged white man

We all got off the plane and grabbed our things

"Okay! Newer Ducks! You guys will be staying with someone who lives here for the night so we don't have to pay for a hotel" Coach said

"KAY STAY WITH ME" Averman yelled

"Yeah as long as Dean's cool with it" I smiled and turned to him

He nodded "He's basically your brother at this point that's fine"

"WHOOO HOOO!" Averman yelled dancing

I laughed dancing with him

"Okay guys go ahead and find your parents so you can drop your things off, then meet back at my house for our last night together"

A chorus of yeahs and okays were heard throughout the group as we separated

"Hey there's my mom!" Averman pointed walking towards the car

His mom hopped out hugging him "LESTER! I missed you so much hun! You did great!"

It warmed my heart, even though a pang of sadness hit me with it.

She turned to me, pulling me in for a hug "And you must be Kay!"

I hesitantly hugged her back "That's me"

"I'm Lori, Lester has told me all about you."

I smirked at Averman "Lester you talk about me?!"

He rolled his eyes getting in the car

We both laughed getting in as well

We all talked the car ride home, mostly Lori and I annoying Averman

"Lori, I'd like to say we make a great team against Lester"

She laughed nodding

"You guys will be the death of me" Averman said getting out as we arrived
