Mega time jump to the end of the school year, June 1st
"Ah yes, freedom" Dean said stepping out the door
"About damn time, if I was forced to listen to Mr.Harrington talk anymore I swear I would've killed him"
Dean laughed "Let's go get food and then go home"
I nodded and we walked to our favorite cafe
The bell went off as we opened the door and we were greeted by the sweet homey feeling Ms. Marci's cafe gave us. Something unfamiliar but amazing.
"Hey kids! I have your food and drinks ready, since it's the last day of school it's on the house" Ms. Marci smiled
"Thank you so much" I smiled
"Of course sweetheart" She smiled sweetly
We grabbed our food and sat down at an empty table in the corner
"Gosh I love that woman" Dean said devouring his sandwhich
"Right, and her chicken blts are amazing" I said taking a bite
We ate in a happy silence when my phone rang
"Hey"
"Kay! So, Goldberg and I got ourselves in a bad situation"
"Of course you did, what did you guys do?"
"Well aha funny story, so we locked the subsitute teacher in the closet then blamed it on the Hawks so now they have detention for the whole first week of summer"
I cracked up laughing "HAHA THATS GREAT"
I could hear them both on the other line laughing too "But its not great"
"Why not?"
"They're gonna kill us this summer. We will literally always be hiding from them"
"HA! Thats funny, just sock one in the face and show em' whos boss"
"Yeah right! Have you seen Averman's arms?!" I heard Goldberg say
I laughed "You're right, but what about Fulton? I'm sure he'll help"
Les sighed "Yeah but he's not there all the time"
"Then my friends, you got yourself stuck in a pretty shitty situation"
"You're no help"
"You're welcome Lester"
He groaned "I'll talk to you later, love you bye"
"Love you too bye"
"What was that about?" Dean asked
"Les and Goldie got themselves in deep shit with the Hawks"
"I'm not surprised"
"Neither am I honestly"
We finished our food and drinks then cleaned up our mess
I stopped by Ms. Marci and gave her a 20
"No honey! You keep that alright?"
"Nope sorry Ms. Marci, its all yours" I smiled walking away
"Have a great night you two! Get home safe!" She yelled
"We will! You too!" I yelled back
We walked out and started on our way home
Dean turned to me with his hands in his pockets "So Kay, I've been holding off telling you this but here it is"
"Well spit it out already!"
