I laid in my bed staring at the ceiling

"Why don't you do something productive? Like reading?" Connie asked

I propped myself up on my elbows and faced her "No. I hate reading"

"It's not that bad!" She tried to reason

"Yes it is"

She rolled her eyes and stood up "You wanna go get gatorade's from the cafeteria with me? I need some"

I got up "Yeah sure, let's go"

We made our way to the cafeteria and went to the vending machine.

"Aw man they're all outta purple!" Connie said

"Thank god. Purple is the worst one!" I said turning to her

She scoffed dramatically "No it is not!"

"Yeah it is! Light blue or yellow are definitely the best!"

"Whatever. I guess I'll have to settle for orange." She sighed

I said in a baby voice pinching her cheek "Aw is poor Connie gonna have to drink Orange instead of Grape?"

She swatted my hand away laughing

"Hello ladies" Averman said from behind us

"Hey Averman" Connie smiled

"I'm right here ya know!" Guy said pointing at himself

"Of course, hello to you too" She smiled kissing his cheek

They're so cute.

"Hey Lester" I grinned

"I come down here to enjoy time with my BEST friend and she has the nerve to call me Lester!" He said throwing his hands in the air

"Ah man, life is hard aint it?" Guy said patting his shoulder

Averman rolled his eyes then quickly averted his attention "So Kay, I was thinking-"

I interrupted "That's a first"

He slapped the back of my head "HEY"

I laughed "So how much longer until the final game?"

Guy looked at his watch "It's 4:10 right now and we have to be in the locker room by 6:30 so about 2 hours"

"Perfect! Kay let's go try every flavor of cotton candy at the place from down the street!!!" Averman said excitedly

"YES- wait no we have a game and I'm not tryina hurl on the ice"

"Oh right. Well how about we go to the beach?" Averman suggested instead

"Yeah that's good. We just won't be able to stay long" I said

"You two coming?" Averman asked turning to Guy and Connie

"No I think we're going to hangout in my dorm" Guy said

"oooui okay" I said wiggling my eyebrows

Averman smirked at them.

"Stop by some of the boys dorms and see if they wanna come. I'll see if Julie wants to" I said

"Oh don't worry about Julie, she's out with some Italian track guy" Connie said

"And she never thought to tell me?! What am I?! Chopped liver?!" I said throwing my hands in the air

Connie laughed

"Let's go change now so we can have more time there!!" Averman said grabbing my hand
