Dwayne and I have been neutral these past few months

We say hi to each other every once in a while, and we talk when we need to

I'm not cold towards him anymore

November 1st

"Ahh no more school until next week" Goldberg smiled

"Yes, I needed this break" Charlie said

We all nodded in agreement

"Are you all going home for break?" Adam asked

"I'm not, Dean told me we didn't have the money for it" I said nonchalantly, even though it hurt

"Me too" Russ said

"I'm headed home in an hour" Kenny smiled

"Me too" Julie said

"What about you cowboy?" Les asked

"I'm staying here to save money" He smiled

"Luis?" I asked

"I'm goin home. This Minnesota weather is killing me"

"Yeah well don't enjoy the Florida warmth too much because you'll be right back here in a week" I said

He rolled his eyes "Don't remind me"

We all laughed and bid Julie, Kenny and Luis goodbye

"So Kay, wanna go get your nails done with me?" Connie smiled

"Sure" I smiled

"Let's go!" She said grabbing my hand and dragging me

I laughed waving bye to the boys

We sat down at the nail salon and were talking

"So, what color are you getting?" She asked

"Just an off white color"

"Very basic" Connie said

"Well fine then miss thing, what are you getting?"

"Orange with brown on my ring fingers" She smiled

"Oh wow okay that'll actually look real good"

"YEAH! So get something cooler! How about do off white on all your fingers and this darker orange on your ring fingers?"

"Well well Connie you are a genius" I smiled

"I know" She winked

I sighed "It's no nice to get away from all the guys"

"Rightttt"

"Yeah, like love them all to death but damn they are exhausting"

"They really are. And I live near most of them"

I laughed "Yeah I feel bad for you on that one"

Our nails were finished and we went back to her place

"My mom and dad are working over time at the hospital today so we can have a good Christmas, so they won't be home for a bit"

I nodded smiling

"So we have some snacks, goldfish, Oreos, fruit snacks, whatever"

"Are the Goldfish blasted?"

"Duh" She smiled throwing the bag at me
