"I'm Doctor Luan Dreason, you can call me Doc. Luan or handsome," he said and wink at me making all the kids giggle and smile at me. "I'm kidding," he said.
"I think the kids needs to finish their activities" sambit ko kaya lalo siyang ngumiti at binaba si Cloe, "Kids your beautiful teacher and I will talk, so go back inside and finish your activities ok," malambing niyang sambit at agad namang sumunod ang mga bata sa kanya at pumasok sa loob.
After that he stood straight in front of me and smiled, putting both hands in his pockets. "Nice to meet you, teacher," he said.
I smile and, "I don't remember that I have a student like you?" sambit ko na ikinatawa niya. "Nice," he uttered and looked at the kids.
"I rarely visit the kids because of busy schedules but I think I can fix my schedule now, so I can see you often," he said and glanced at me with those charming heart lips.
"What?" tanong ko na agad niyang sinagot, "I mean see you and the kids often for the check up," kumamot ito sa tabok at halatang nahiya dahil sa kanyang sinabi, kaya natawa nalang ako sa kanya at umiling-iling.
"Doc!!!" napalingon kaming dalawa ng may tumawag sa kanyang isang lalake, at nang makita ko it bigla kong naalala ang lalake sa mall, napatingin ako kay Doctor Luan at naalalang siya yong lalakeng nakatapak sa kamay ko habang nagpupulot ako ng papers noon.
"Doc hinahanap ka doon sa clinic ni Doc. Gracia" tama sila nga iyon. "Ok, be there in a minute" he said and looked back at me.
"I remember you," I said that made him raise both of his brows and wait for me to speak,"Ikaw yung guy sa Mall 3 years ago" when I said that he quickly smiled and chuckled,"What?" he asked.
"Yeah, ako yung natapakan mo yung kamay habang pinupulot ko ang mga papers ko noon, don't you remember?" sambit ko kaya lalo siyang ngumiti at tumango.
"I knew it was you, how can I forget those teary eyes when I step on your hand, here," nilabas niya ang phone sa kanyang phone sa bulsa bago binuksan at may pinindot doon bago ito hinarap sa akin.
My lips parted when I saw a stolen picture of me while talking to the counter of the craft shop 3 years ago. Hatalang kuha ito habang nasa loob siya ng sasakyan at paalis na ito kaya kiya ang sideview ko. Sobrang stress ng itsura ko dito, nakaessy bond at t-shirt and jeans lang ako that time.
"I don't know what to say" sambit ko ng harapin siya muli, tumawa siya at sinabi, "You don't need to speak, I'm glad I see you again, I better go now see you tomorrow" nagulat ako ng guluhin niya ng konti ang aking buhok bago kinuha ang phone at sinundan ang lalaking tumawag sa kanya kanina.
Tinignan ko siyang umalis at nang makaliko na sila, inayos ko ang aking buhok bago pumasok sa loob ng classroom, "Ok, tapos na ba kayo kids?" masigla kong tanong.
"Yes Teacher!!!" they shouted and raised their drawings, I smiled and checked all of it and started teaching other lessons to them.
"Ok kids, bring out your lunch box and eat your lunch ok," I said and helped the kids fix their table so they could start eating together. "Yes Teacher," sagot nila at nilabas ang kanilang mga lunch box.
"Enjoy your lunch kids, start eating na," Sambit ko at nagpray na sila then start eating. They are all so cute with their small spoon and forks, nagtatawanan pa sila habang kumakain at nagsheshare sa isat-isa.
Sumandal ako dito sa teachers' desk ko at pinanuod lang silang kumain. Hindi ko maiwasang matawa at ngumiti habang pinapanood si Geo na laging nahuhulugan ng pagkain buti na lang ay nasasalo din ito ng lunch box niya kaya ok lang. Pero sobrang cute dahil tuwing susubo niya na sa bibig niya ay ubos na ito.
Kaya hindi ko na natiis at nilapitan siya, "Geo want Teacher to help you?" I asked and sat beside him, he looked at me and pouted, "Ow kawawa naman ang baby na yan gutom na haha" I said and got his spoon, started feeding him and helping others too.
"Cloe eat the carrots that are good for your eyes," I said and smiled at her, she looked at me and ate the carrots just like what I said.
"Hmmm yummy," she said and cheerfully nodded while chewing the carrots, I smiled at her and wiped a piece of rice on her cheeks.
"Teacher look oh, I eat potato," pinakita naman sa akin ni Hanna ang potato na nasatinidor niya at kinain ito sa harapan ko. "Good job Hanna," I said and tapped her head before she went back to her seat and resumed eating.
While helping the kids some elementary students knocked on the door, so I stood up and walked towards them "Yes?" I ask.
"Teacher Minami, pinapabigay po ni Doc sa inyo kain na daw po kayo" he said and handed me a paper bag filled with food. "Sa'kin?" tanong ko at tumango siya bago tinuro sa di kalayuan si Doctor Luan na nakasandal sa pinto ng clinic habang suot ang white coat niya.
He smiles at me, "Sige po Teacher alis na po ako hihi," the kid said and run, bumalik ang tingin ko kay Doctor Luan na nakatayo lang doon.
I pointed at myself to ask him if this was really for me, or maybe this is for the kids. He nodded and pointed to the paper bag where I saw a sticky note inside, Kinuha ko ito at binasa.
A doctor like me believes in working hard and being rewarded by food,
So, I give this reward to you as an appreciation for your kindness to the kids.
Joke, I just want to treat you and make you smile.
Ps: eat it all as the Doctor's prescription...
Hindi ko maiwasang mapangiti sa nakasulat at tinignan siya, he winks at me and salute before he turns his back inside the clinic.
I smile and look at this food...
Pumasok na ako sa loob ng classroom at binalikan ang mga bata at sumabay kumain sa kanila. I also share the food with them.
After eating lunch, we started a new activity and played a lot of learning games, and I can say that the kids are really enjoying it.
"Ok, kid's see you tomorrow ok, and do your homework before you sleep," Palala ko sa kanilang lahat habang hinahatid sila sa parents waiting area.
"Yes, Teacher Sienna, bye-bye," they said and walked through their parents. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag ng matapos na ang araw na ito, "Hoo.. good thing so one cry," I whisper and go back to the classroom to fix it and get my bag.
Pagkalabas ko ng pinto gulat akong napaatras ng makita si Doctor Luan na nakatayo sa harap nito, "Doctor Dreason," I utter and look at him.
"Do you believe in love at first sight?" he suddenly asked, "No, I don't believe in that," But I do believe in love at first kiss and that was with Gun.
"Second sight?" he asks again, "No," I confusedly answer because I don't get it why is he asking me this.
"Should I walk by again? So, you could fall in love at the third sight," hindi ko alam pero natawa na lang ako sa pick up line niya at umiling-iling.
"Just kidding," he said and we both laugh together, "Let me help you," inabot niya ang bag ko mula sa akin at sinuod ito habang nakapatong sa braso niya ang coat niya.
"You know I've been keeping your photo for almost 3 years already and now that I finally see you again, I don't wanna take it too long and I know you know that I kinda admire and like you, so I would like to take chances already," he said and shyly avoided my gaze.
"Because I'm gonna be busy tomorrow so I want to ask you if I can court you."
