"Tell me again why you're here?" I massaged my aching temples as a stupid idiot stood on my front porch.

"Cause you're just the bestest and awesomest friend I have." Ash smirked as the two women in each of his arms giggled. "You're the only one I know which has a football-sized jacuzzi."

Fuck my life. My house was a brothel.

"And what do you plan to do with it?" I raised an eyebrow at Ash who seemed to be ready to make out with both of them at the same time.

"Things." He replied while winking.

"Yuck." I seriously said and moved out of the way. "I have a meeting with my board." I walked away from their excited squeals as they headed for the jacuzzi. "Don't be loud."

Butler Ed eyed Ash disapprovingly as I walked by him. "Young master. Shall I conduct the disinfecting protocol after they're done?"

"Yes, please." I started up the stairs. "Make sure you bleach every corner."

"Yes, young master." He bowed in respect and motioned to gather the staff.

I reached my bedroom and dashed to my desk where my zoom meeting was still active. The board of commissioners patiently waited until I was seated at my desk to recommence the meeting. It was a crucial meeting to determine the course of where the company was headed; agriculture or medicine.

"I believe we were at market value." I readjusted my jacket over my shoulders and allowed the board to discuss further decisions.

Meetings would always end the same way. My father made the final decision. He would always listen to every one's opinion over the matter and considers mine and Jenna's. He's a calculated person and takes his time to choose the most beneficial option.

As much as I hate to admit it, he actually cares about my opinion.

My phone started to vibrate beside my laptop just as the board started to voice out their opinions.

Kade.

I was on mute so I turned to the side until I was out of the camera's view and answered it.

"What's up?" I said and immediately winced as loud music blasted over my ear, right into my skull. "Is the ball really that irresponsible?"

I hate the ball. It's an annual thing and each year, I find myself to despise it even more. Horny juveniles gather around in hopes of getting laid. It surprised me to see how many invitations I received in freshman year to 'accompany' them to hotels. In the end, I left feeling disgusted and vowed to never step foot in the ball again.

He sighed loudly. "Your girlfriend's a bit drunk."

I narrowed my eyes. "Girlfriend?" I didn't ask anyone out. At least I think I didn't.

"Selia."

I scoffed. With that attitude she gave me yesterday? "She's not my girlfriend." I couldn't give a shit about her.

I don't care.

"She's with Kyle." For the first time in a long time, Kade sounded worried.

I don't care.

"I really don't understand why you're telling me this." I massaged my sinuses. My horny friend was probably overdosing on viagra in my jacuzzi downstairs and my enemy was out having the time of her life.

I don't care.

"Oh, look! She's gone!" The mouse in my hand crackled under the force of my palm. "One minute she's there, one minute she's gone with Kyle. DRUNK!"
