Roselia's POV

"Look! Doesn't it look like Jasper?" I pointed to the monkey hanging on a branch with Zac clutching my other hand.

The cute little boy giggled cheerfully beside me. "Yes! It looks like you!"

Jasper laughed with him but sent a sneaky glare towards me which I happily ignored. With Zac busy admiring the monkey business, Jasper mouthed to me.

'You're annoying.'

I beamed. 'I love you too.'

His eyes immediately softened. 'Ditto.'

"Look!" Zac chirped which diverted our attention to the direction he was pointing at. "There's you too!" A female monkey latched onto the male monkey hanging on the branch as they swung from tree to tree. I was about to act offended by his implication I was a monkey too but the sweet little bean was just too cute. So in the end, I laughed with him.

"Oh yes! I see her." I knelt down on the ground until we were the same height. "And there's you." I pointed to the youngling the couple tended to as they released the branch.

"Hahahaha! They do look like us!" He giggled and his big eyes shared some of his happiness with me. "Except with much more hair."

"Yes, champ. But even without a lot of hair, Roselia still looks like a monkey." Jasper chimed in with a playful smirk.

"Hey!" I scrunched up my nose towards his direction.

"Hmm..." Zac paid attention to the details of the monkey. "I don't see it."

"Thank you Zac." I gently kissed him on the cheek and he giggled. "Nice to see there are still gentlemen around here."

"I think Jasper is a gentleman." He raised a finger up in the air.

I arched an eyebrow. "Really? How so?"

"He likes to wait until late at night at our shelter so that he could offer you a ride home. But he usually just chickens out when he sees you walk out the door." His attention was back to the monkeys.

I turned towards Jasper with a sly grin. He watched me with slightly pink cheeks and wandering eyes.

Awww, he's embarrassed! It was also the first time I heard of this information and my feet tingled with excitement.

He used to wait for me.

"Let's go look at the dolphins!" He pulled me with his hand as the other remained on his crutch to aid his hasty steps.

"Not so fast." Jasper was quick to raise Zac his shoulders and carry him there, breaking our physical attachment. In response, I pouted and Zac also seemed to be having separation issues. I scurried to his side to carry his mini crutch in my hand.

"But I want to be with Roselia!" He reached out for me with his hand as he sat on Jasper's shoulders. My heart bubbled with warmth at his action which made me laugh.

"You barely ate anything today." Jace stated. "You won't see any dolphins if you don't eat."

Zac pouted and crossed his arms against his chest. "Just admit that I'm a much better bachelor for Roselia and you're scared of competition."

Jasper held in the laugh the little boy had induced. "So you think you can be a better boyfriend than me?" He turned his head towards a grinning me.

I feel so loved.

"Of course!" Zac sounded so confident that I wanted to squish him! "Don't you think I can take care of you better than him, Selia?"

"Oh, positive!" I said, all the while covering my giggling mouth.
