Jayce and Me

Brooks POV
Present Day
I met Jayce  when I was 16. We met through work. He was 18 and working with my Dad. Everyone wanted to work with my Dad when it came to this business.

Garcia Antonio Montoya otherwise known as The King of  NY Mafia was the biggest Mafia boss in all of New York. All he cared about was his company. Many people had tried to get him arrested but he had insiders in the police department. So those people would end up dead, injured or their loved ones dead. Jayce was the son of my Dad's right hand man. He started working with my Dad because his Dad wanted him to.

My Dad placed us together in hopes of getting us together. His plan worked. We started hanging out more often and he finally asked me out.
He was always there for me when everyone else couldn't be. He didn't know about Bella, but Bella knew about him.

We were together for 7 years. Our parents had already planned on our engagement, but then I left. We really did love each other once. But I didn't love him like that anymore. I loved him as a best friend, but I knew that would break his heart so I never told. He really was a sweet heart and a gentleman. He always took care of me and I of him. We were never physically intimate with each other but we did other things normal couples did.

I could tell that even now  as he stood in front of me he still wanted me. But I couldn't give that to him.

Me:" I'm not going back, Ani. Lily is gone and there is nothing you can do about it ."

Ani:" Oh no no no. Dad said to take you home and that is what I'm going to do." He said and Jayce grabbed my wrists.

Jay:" Please, Baby. Come back. I'll be better, just please come home."

Me:" I am home. I live here now. I'm sorry Jay but we are over."

His grip tightened and it began to hurt.

Me:" Jay your hurting me! let me go!" When did he get this strong.

Jay:" No! I came to get you back and that is- " He was caught off by a low familiar voice.

Taehyung: " She said let her go." His arm wrapped around my waist and Jay immediately let go off my wrist.

Tae:" Hey, sorry I'm late babe. I over slept and totally forgot that you and Bella had invited me and Kookie to go hang out." He said turning to me and giving me a kiss on the cheek while whispering " Play along."

Me:" No problem Tae. Where's Kook anyway?" I asked deciding to play along.

Tae: " He went to go wait for Bella at the bathroom since we texted her when we got here. Are these guys bothering you? " He turned to Jay and Ani.

Jay stepped forward but Ani held him back. I felt bad ,but I couldn't go back with them. I just couldn't.

Ani:" No. We were just leaving."

He looked at me then left dragging Jay behind him.
As soon as they were out of view Tae turned and grabbed my face in between his hands.

Tae: " Are you ok? Did they hurt you?"

I shook my head 'no' to both as tears streamed down my face.

Me:" I just need to go home."

Kookie:" Who were those guys?" He said walking up to us with Bella trailing behind him.

She immediately hugged me finally understanding who they were. I sobbed into her shoulder.

Bella:" Her twin brother and ex boyfriend. "

Tae and Kook stood confused and shocked. What were they doing here?
