Unexpected

My Last Goodbye

Brooke's POV

Tae parked the car as close to the exit as posible. The rest of the ride had been silent and uncomfortable. I wished I could tell him but there were too many people.

Plus what would I tell him. I knew I wasn't going to tell him I would be leaving.

I leaned over to shake Jungkook awake.

Me: "Hey, we're here. Can you wake her up for me?" I asked as I saw bodies begin to move and heard groans from the back seat.

He nodded groggily and proceeded to wake Bella up with a kiss on the head.

We all got out of the car, Suga taking a little longer as no one wanted to wake him up. Together we made our way into the airport, and together we guided her until we could go no more. 

It was time for my best friend to leave.

Jungkook's POV

We stopped at the gate and waited for Bella to say her goodbyes.

Bella, my bunny. I was going to miss her so bad it hurt. I watched as she hugged all of my hyung's before saving me and Noona for last.

I watched as she sadly walked towards me and put her hands around my neck. I sank into her warmth soaking it up and wishing it would never go away.

Me: "Call me as soon as you get there, okay? Make sure to use the socks that I gave you, I don't want you getting cold." She chuckled into my shoulder.

Bella: "Okay, Mom." She whispered playfully " I'll call you when we land. I'm going to miss you Kookie." Her voice sounded strained as if she was trying not to cry.

I shifted so that we were face to face and I could see the tears in her eyes.

Me: " Hey, don't cry. You'll see me soon. I'm pretty sure we'll be there in about a month, ok? And I'm going to miss you too, bunny." I gave her one last hug before slowly pressing my lips to hers in a lingering kiss.

I know I was supposed to be wearing a mask like the others but I had pulled it down just to say goodbye, and I was glad I did. Her soft lips fit perfectly with mine, and even though it was short, I still felt them on my lips as I watched her go to Noona.

Bella's POV

Brooke: " 'Yeah we just talked for an hour and then he took me home.' As if, that kiss is something more than just talking." She said teasing me as I went to give her a hug.

I giggled with her as we hugged.

Brooke: "As much as I hate to admit it, loser, I'm going to miss you." She said playfully with a sad smile.

Me: " I'm going to miss you too, you bum." I said as my heart ached and I tried to keep the tears from my eyes.

Flight Attendant: "Flight to US boarding in 15 minutes." Sounded over the PA.

Me: " Guess I'll see you later, loser." I smiled.

Brooke: "I guess so." I gave her one last hug before beginning to walk.

I turned around and waved one last time before I made my way to my gate. For some reason it felt like I wouldn't be seeing Brooke when I came back to Korea, but I tried to shake off the feeling. 

I had an amazing time and I would never forget that she was the one who brought me here.
