Chapter 54

"Lynch back away from her." Mr.Mason ordered. "As soon as she stands up and faces me." He said. He had nothing but rage. I sniffed. No way in hell was he gonna win this. I slowly stood up. "Back away Ms.Marano." He said. "Do it. I dare you." I said. "Your disrupting my class." He said. "We'll take this outside." He grumbled. "I'm not allowing that. Principal's orders. You are not going anywhere." He said. I grabbed his hand dragged him with me. "You need to be seen." He said. "As soon as I solve his problem." I say. We walk out and as soon were out of sight, he pulled his hand away from me completely. He glared at me as I did the same.

"What was that about last night?!" I asked him. "Shouldn't you be with Jackson?" He asked. "Shouldn't you be with me?" I asked. "No." He said. "You didn't help me last night. When I needed you most. I felt like I was being stabbed to death and you were abusing me." I said. He suddenly pinned me against the wall. "You better watch what you say to me. Things will get ugly and they'll get ugly real fast." He said growling at me. "Why are you suddenly so cold?" I asked. "None of your god damn business!" He yelled at me. "Don't fucking yell at me! Talk to me." I said. "I don't want to talk to you simple as that". He said backing away to walk away. I grabbed his wrist. "Don't leave. What's going on? Does this not mean anything to you?" I asked pointing to the necklace. He took his wrist back. "Just how important are you?" He asked.I looked at him. "Your nothing. Your not important. Your cut." He said. I felt my throat run dry and my tears well up. There goes my confidence, my heart, and my dignity. "Stay the hell away from me." I say. "Gladly." He said and walked away without turning back. Just then Brittnay walked up in front of him. She just waved and instantly pulled her into a kiss. My tears quickened. He said I'm not important. And that I'm cut. Great. Just great and to top it off, he's right there with his tongue down someone else's throat. I wiped off my tears and walked in the other direction. I balled up my fists. No way in hell is this happening.

I was sitting in the doctor's office and waiting to know what was wrong with me. Just then she walked back in. "Hey. How are you?" She asked. "Well Dr.Henderson, I feel like my stomach is falling and my heart felt into my stomach acid so. What's wrong with me?" I asked. "Well. Have you been eating lately?" She asked. I nodded. "Well it seems to me that your appendix decided its time to become removed." She said. "What? How?" I asked. "Well it started swelling and last night as you describe it, it seems that it might have bursted. I need to talk to your parents about probably having it removed." She said. An operation?! "But I have school and wouldn't I need care?" I asked. "Look I understand but this is for your safety.You need immediate care sweetie. If would've burst, you might have died. There's a possibility that you might. I want what's best for you." She said. This isn't true! "Well Laura. Have your mom and dad arrange a day and I want to treat you as soon as possible. The sooner the better." She said. I sighed. What should I do?

"What brings you here?" Rydel asked. "I need to talk to your mom." I say. She nods. We walked over to the dining room where she was. I looked right beside and he was there. I bit my lip. "Stormie." I called getting her attention. He looked up too. "Hey sweetie. What's wrong?" She asked. "There's something I need to ask your opipion on." I say. His eyes never left me. "I found something out today and I don't want to bother my mom with it but can you by any chance...." I trailed off. She got up. She walked over and felt my head. "Your burning." She said. "I am?" I asked. "Rydel get me my kit. Ross go get that blanket." She ordered. Rydel went off but he sat there. "Why should I?" He asked. "Get the blanket!" She yelled. He nodded and got up. I found his weakness. He brought it over and she wrapped me in it. "I need to get surgery and I need you." I told her. She smiled. His eyes just wandered at me as if searching for something. I think he thinks I'm lieing. "I'm gonna tell my mom about it but I need someone I trust and I know I trust you." I say.

She smiled. "What kind of surgery?" She asked. "Can we talk in private?" I asked. She nodded and looked at him. He put his up and walked away. I explained to her what I needed her to do and thanked her. She's so nice. His siblings started to file in. "Woah! Sup babe. I knew you'd come back for me." Rocky said. I chuckled but my head started to spin and the fever was only the beginning. He suddenly embraced me. "Huh? Rocky? What are you doing?" I asked. "Your falling. How many fingers am I holding up?" He asked. Huh? I tried to look at him but everything was blurry. "Alright. Laura you need to rest." I heard Stormie say. "Rydel and Rocky take her over there." She told them. I held my hands out. "No. I'm gonna go home. Please. I shouldn't be here anyway." I say. "Are you crazy?" They asked me all together. But one voice was missing. "Let her go". He spoke loud and clear. "Ross." Riker said. "What?" He asked. I slowly started to embrace Rocky. He picked me up bridal style. "Take me home." I say. I felt him nod. "I'm calling to check on you." Stormie said. I nodded. I slowly dozed off as I felt the tense air be lifted.
