This is my own original idea

I am a single mother to my 5 year old son Jaeseop. I'm not with his father anymore. We split up when he was born as we fell out of love and didn't want to be together anymore. He was immature anyway. Partied too much and just wasn't sensible. I was 22 when I had Jaeseop. I wasn't ready or mature. I'm 27 now and mother to my 5 year old son. We recently moved to a small town for a fresh new start and to get away from Jaeseop's father too who wa causing trouble. He wanted full custody of him but I didn't want that of course and he lost the court battle too. When I moved to the town, I got to know a handsome and charming guy called Heo Chan. He is a cop. His father is the sheriff so there is a possibility he could become sheriff one day. Chan is a really sweet and down to earth guy. I didn't have feelings for him absolutely at first but I think I've developed feelings for him more recently. I met him on my second day in the town when I was taking Jaeseop to school. He knows my son too and is good with kids. Jaeseop thinks Chan is cool as he's a police officer and he likes that. He wants to become a police officer. Chan thinks that's cool. Yes he's very good with my boy. He said he's always wanted a son of his own. I told him one day he will. I am taking Jaeseop to school this morning. He always looks forward to going to school in a morning. I leave the house and get in the car with him and drop him off at the school gates. "Have fun, baby and I'll see you this afternoon" I smile. "I will do, mommy. Love you" Jaeseop smiles. "Love you too, my lovely boy" I smile. I hug him goodbye and he runs through the school door and I go back to the car. I miss Jaeseop when he's at school. A pity I have a day off today

I arrive home after going to the supermarket for a few things on my way home. When I get home, Chan is stood outside my door. "Hi, Chan. Are you okay?" I say. "Hi, Y/ N. Yes I'm fine. Just came to see you. Well I was actually in your neighbourhood anyhow" Chan said. "Okay no problem" I say. "Jaeseop at school" he asks. "Yes he is" I reply. Chan and I talk for a bit. From a distance I hear the sound of a motorcycle. Jaeseop's father Hyunsuk turns up. Uh oh I thought. He's come to cause trouble. Great. He gets off his motorcycle and says "Y/ N. Hey". "Hi, Hyunsuk. Why you showing up?" I ask. "Just thought I'd drop by to see my son. Where is he?" he said. "He's at school. It's a Thursday. You better not be causing trouble" I say. "No no. Who's this guy?" Hyunsuk said. "Heo Chan, he's a police officer and friend" I say. "Heo Chan. Aye. I'm Lim Hyunsuk. Is she behaving herself?" Hyunsuk said. "Yes she is" Chan said. Hyunsuk stands close to me just to make Chan jealous. "Y/ N and I were together since high school you know. We had a kid together at the age of 22 and 23 and the rest is history I guess" he said. "Hyunsuk, you don't have to tell him. He already knows. Why did you have to show up here today?" I say. "To see my son duh and I know you miss me too you moved so far away" he said. "Yes because me and Jaeseop wanted a fresh start and this is a nice place away from all the hustle and bustle of the city" I say. "I'm not leaving till I see my son" Hyunsuk said. "Well you could be waiting a while as he's at school" I say. "If you beg violent and beg to see your son I can arrest you I'm a cop" Chan said. "Are you really a cop or is that just a costume" Hyunsuk said. "Of course he's a cop" I say. Chan shows Hyunsuk his badge and he kind of believes him. Hyunsuk wouldn't leave till he saw Jaeseop. I let him but he didn't really want to see him. He doesn't have a good relationship with his dad. Not surprised anyway. He's hard to deal with. He left when I told him to so that was okay. Hope he never darkens our doorstep

Chan and I have grown closer now over the last couple of months. Hyunsuk hasn't really been causing trouble lately. A little bit every now and then but that's just him I guess. Jaeseop always looks forward to seeing Chan. He asks when they can hangout. Awwww bless him. He said he wishes Chan was his daddy and not Hyunsuk. He shouldn't say that but I know what he means. I have invited Chan over to our place tonight. He is off duty so he can come over. He will be here pretty soon. I'm cooking dinner now. Jaeseop likes to help in the kitchen. He's a pretty good little helper too. I think he's going to become a chef when he's older like my brother. Chan texts to say that he's about 20 minutes off arriving. "Mommy, I will set the table for when Chan arrives" Jaeseop says. "That's great, sweetie. I'm sure he'll like that" I smile. Jaeseop grabs the bowls and plates and cutlery and sets the table. He's good at that. I watch him set the table but it's not like he needed any help. He's an expert. Soon the doorbell rings and Chan arrives of course. "Hi, Y/ N" he said. "Hi, Chan. Please come in" I say. "Hey, Channie" Jaeseop said. "Hey, buddy. How are you?" Chan said to Jaeseop high fiving him. "Smells good. What are you cooking?" Chan asks. "Beef noodle stew" I reply. "Great. I'm starving"
He said. "Well it won't be long" I laugh. Chan sits in the lounge with Jaeseop and he shows him what he's been watching on TV. Soon dinner www ready so we could sit down and eat. "Come and get it, boys" I say. They come into the kitchen and sit down at the table. "Thank you, Y/ N. It's delicious" Chan said. "Thanks, mommy" Jaeseop said. "You're welcome, Boys" I smile. So we enjoy a nice dinner made by me before tidying up and chilling for a while. Jaeseop had to go to bed about an hour later so I put him to bed. "Can I stay a bit longer, Y/ N?" Chan asks. "Yes sure of course you can" I reply. We sit on the couch and talk for a while. "So, Y/ N. Actually there is something I want to say to you, you know before it's too late" Chan said. "Okay sure" I reply. "I like you, Y/ N. I really like you. I have feelings for you. I think you are a beautiful woman and an amazing mother to your son. You have raised a great kid all on your own" he said. I hesitate for a moment and think of what to say. "I like you too, Chan. You're the sweetest guy I've ever known and I love the bond you have with my boy. You're a great father figure to him since he doesn't have a good bond with his own dad" I say. "I want us to be together, Y/ N. We don't have to tell Jaeseop straight away if you don't want him to know" Chan said. "No I think he would want to know and yes I want us to be together" I reply. Chan smiles and leans in and kisses me on the lips. He leaves soon after. I think that says that we are together now

Chan and I have now been a couple for the last 4 months and we are really loving our time together. We are already talking about the future. Getting married and having children of our own sometime in the future. Not right now of course. We are just enjoying our time together as a couple. Hyunsuk doesn't know about our relationship and he doesn't have to. Jaeseop has promised not to tell him. I know he's good at keeping secrets. That's good. We don't want him finding out about our relationship and interfering. Anyway today we are going for a picnic by the lake. It's just the perfect day for a picnic as it's a nice sunny warm day so we have packed a picnic up to take with us. Jaeseop is sat in the back of the car feeling excited about our picnic. "Are we there yet?" he asks. "Almost, buddy. Almost" Chan replies. We arrived at the lake soon and got everything out of the trunk and sat by the lake and tucked into our picnic. "Good sandwiches, babe" Chan said. "Well they are just sandwiches" I laugh. "Can I have some chips, eomma" Jaeseop said. "Sure when you've had your fruit and sandwiches" I reply. "Okay" he replies. Jaeseop was a good boy and finished his fruit and sandwiches before he has some chips. He is my good boy. Chan looks at me and smiles. I smile and rest my head on his shoulder. "Love you" he smiles. "I love you too" I say. Chan and Jaeseop fed the ducks by the lake for a while and we took a while. We had a perfect little afternoon by the lake having a picnic and just enjoying the day. Chan and I have found love and we are so happy together and we want to stay that way forever

A/ N: this imagine was based on When The Camellia Blooms. My first k drama which I really enjoyed. I love k dramas now. Love Victon too but should've done Subin today as it's his birthday. Oh well. I actually forgot
