Keonhee's POV

I have been in love with my best friend, Y/ N for ages but she has a boyfriend. He cheats on her though. No matter now many times I tell her, she won't listen to me. I love her and I don't want her to be with a guy who cheats on her repeatedly. I've seen him sneaking around with loads of different girls. I hate people who cheat on their other halves. It's not a sign of love. Of course it's not. He's a rat and Y/ N deserved so much better than him. I was surprised when they got together because he really didn't seem her type at all. I want to tell her I love her but I can't as long as she's with him. He'll kill he if I told her that. Anyway I'm hoping that one day Y/ N will listen to me and leave him and maybe one day we'll end up happily together. That's what I really hope and pray for. I am going to see Y/ N today at her place. I think her boyfriend is out of town which is good. I'm looking forward to seeing her for a bit. I am on my way now and I've text her. When I arrive at Y/ N's place, I park up outside and knock on her door. "Hey, best friend" she said. "Hi, bestie" I reply. I go in and hug her. I take off my shoes and jacket and sit on the couch. "So what do you wanna do?" she asks. "I don't know whatever you want to do. Chill and talk I guess" I reply. So we did that alright. "Chiwon will be back later" Y/ N said. "Ah okay I'll go soon then" I reply. "Nah you don't have to, Keonhee. Stay till he's back" she said. "Maybe I should do. You know I don't like him" I say. "Keonhee, you're my best friend. Please stay" Y/ N said. "Okay but I'm going as soon as he arrives. You know what he's like" I reply. "What do you mean?" Y/ N replies. "You know what I mean, Y/ N. I don't have to explain" I reply. "I know you don't like my boyfriend" she said. "He cheats on you, Y/ N. I've told you a million times. He keeps on cheating on you. Why would you want to be with someone like that?" I say. She looks at me and shrugs her shoulders. I didn't want to argue with Y/ N so I stopped. I know I probably hurt her then. I stayed till Chiwon came and then I left right after. One day I wish she would listen to me

It's a couple of weeks later and I haven't seen or heard much from Y/ N since I last saw her. I think she's a little mad and upset from what I said about her boyfriend last time. I shouldn't have started saying things about him. But it's not anything new as I've told her before. I feel like I've lost my best friend as she's not talking to me. I hope maybe she's busy. I am sat at home watching something on TV when I hear a knock on the door. Well I thought it was a knock on the door. I go and answer it and it's Y/ N's with tears running down her face. "Y/ N, whatever is the matter" I say. "I found Chiwon is bed with another girl. I know he's been cheating on me now" she sobs. "It's okay. I'm here for you. I'm always here" I say. I take her by the hand and she sits on the couch. "What exactly happened?" I ask. "I told you. I walked in on him and he was in bed with another girl and worst of all he said it's not the first time he's slept with her" Y/ N cries. "Awe I'm sorry" I say. "I'm so sorry I didn't believe you when you told me he was cheating on me. I really should've listened" she says. "It's okay now" I reply. Y/ N rests her head on my shoulder and I comfort her. "You never have to see him again. It's okay to cry when someone does something like that to you" I say. Y/ N cries for a while and I spend a while comforting her. She dries her eyes and smiles at me. "Y/ N, I just didn't want you to get hurt. You're my best friend and I really care about you a lot" I said. "Awwww I know you do, Keonhee. You're the best kind and caring guy I've ever met" Y/ N replies. I smile. "I know you've just got your heart broken by a bad man but there's something I want to say to you. It can wait for another time" I say. "No no it's fine. Say what you need to. Might cheer me up" she said. "I love you, Y/ N. I love you. You may be my best friend but I'm totally in love with you" I say. "Awwww that's sweet, Keonhee. I don't know what to say back" she said. "It's okay. I don't expect you to say anything after what happened" I reply. She smiles. I told Y/ N I loved her but she didn't say it back. Maybe she will eventually. I hope so but at least she's away from her cheating boyfriend now. She's safe from him

Y/ N's POV

Keonhee told me he loved me a few weeks ago. I don't know if he meant in like a friend way or a romantic way but he said he's in love with me. I didn't know how to react at first as we have been best friends for the longest time. Keonhee is an amazing guy and I know I can always count on him. He's my best friend in the world. Maybe I realise recently that I feel the same way about him. I think I'm scared of getting into another relationship after what happened with that cheating boyfriend. I know that Keonhee was only trying to protect me by warning me. He didn't want to see me get hurt by a cheater. I don't think it was an act of jealousy or anything. He's not that kind of guy. He's definitely not. Maybe I should go and see Keonhee today to tell him that I feel the same. I just say that I was scared to say it back and I've always felt that way about him. I am on my way to his place now. It's a spur of the moment kind of thing. Hope he's in and I can see him. He's always there for me when I need him. I arrived at his place and knocked on the door and he was soon to answer. "Hey, Y/ N. Are you okay?" Keonhee says. "Hi, Keonhee. I'm fine" I reply. "Good. Come in of course" he smiles. I smile and give him a hug and we hit on the couch. "Keonhee, I want to say something to you. Something I've been wanting to say for a while" I say. "Okay sure go ahead" he said. "You told me you loved me the other week but I didn't say it back. Sorry I just got my heart broken" I say. "That's okay, Y/ N. I totally understand. I didn't expect you to say it back but you left me wondering" Keonhee said. "I do love you, Keonhee. You're my best friend but I'm in love with you too" I say. "Awwww I'm so glad you do, Y/ N. I was having sleepless nights wondering if you felt the same" he smiles. I shuffle closer to him and say "I think we should be more than best friends now. I'm ready, Keonhee. If you are" I say. "Y/ N, I'm so ready for you to be my girlfriend" he said. We both lean in and we kiss each other. It was a soft but passionate kiss. I finally told Keonhee I love him and we are now together. We are a couple but we will always be best friends

Keonhee and I have been boyfriend and girlfriend for almost the last month and we are loving our time together being a couple and being together. Can't believe we have fallen in love with each other after being best friends for so long. I love him and he loves me. We are a couple now but it doesn't really feel any different from being best friends. Tonight Keonhee is over at my place and we are having a fun movie night together. It's Christmas movies as it's only a month off Christmas so we have allowed ourselves to watch Christmas movies early because why not. Christmas is both our favourite time of year though. We love it. We are drinking hot cocoa and eating popcorn. We are watching Elf which is our favourite Christmas movie and one of our favourite movies in general. Keonhee and I are sat close on the couch eating and drinking as we watch the movie. "I love this movie but not as much as I love you" he said. "Awww you're so cute. Ditto" I reply. "No you're so cute, babe" Keonhee smiles. "I love you. I feel in love with my best friend and I'm so thankful for that" I reply. "Awwww I'm so thankful for that too" Keonhee smiles. He smiles and kisses my cheek but he gets cocoa on me. We carry on watching Elf then put on another Christmas movie. Just the thing to do. Keonhee and I are best friends who have fallen in love with each other and it feels so good. He healed my broken heart

When I was writing I thought Wonder by Shawn Mendes was kinda fitting. I'll be using more songs from his new album
