Me and Yuta have been best friends for years. We have known each other since high school and we are in our mid twenties now. Yuta is the best friend I've ever had. I've never really had a friend like him before. He's the best. He's always there for me when I need him. We have both been here for each other through thick and thin. Yuta and I both grew up together in a small town in Japan. We became best friends when we met at school. I think it was the first or second day. Our favourite things to do together is watch movies, play soccer and dance together. After all these years I realise that I feel like Yuta and I are a little more than friends. He is really close with me and always gives me hugs. Maybe I do have feelings for him but I sing want to say anything as we have always been best friends and it might make it awkward as we are so close as best friends. He is a very good looking guy. Anyway maybe that's something for the future. I think Yuta and I are happy just the way we are as the best of friends. Today Yuta and I are going to hangout in the park. Maybe we'll play soccer hangout a bit. Don't know. We will see what we wanna do. I'm on my way to meet Yuta now. He'll probably be there when I am. I am in my car on my way now. I have sweatpants and a hoodie on so yeah. Yuta keeps texting me when I'm driving but I can't reply to him but he knows that. He needn't worry as I arrived soon. Yuta always waits for me by the gate like he always does. "Hey, Bestie. You're finally here. Thought you were never coming" he said. "Hi. I'm here. Don't be silly" I laugh. "Yeah you're here" Yuta says pulling me in for a hug. "Okay let's have some fun" I say. "You bet" he says. Yuta and I walk next to each other as we walk through the park together finding something to do

Yuta and I walk around the park for quite a while until we decide to play some soccer. It's our thing to do together. Yuta says I've got better over the years. "Okay let's have a good game" he says. "Sure thing" I reply. Yuta starts by kicking the ball to me. "Hey" I say. We keep on kicking the ball between us and having fun. Sometimes we play with more people but just the two of us today. It's the best when it's just the two of us. "You're getting as good as me, Y/ N" Yuta says. "No I'm not. I never will be" I laugh. "Oh yeah you will be" he laughs. "Ummm maybe" I say. "You're good for a girl" Yuta laughs. "Are you saying girls can't play soccer like me?" I say. He looks at me and shrugs his shoulders. Anyway we play for a bit longer before finishing. We then go to the kids play area and see if the swings were free. We like to go on the swings like kids but if kids come we give them up for them. We go there and there are two swings free. "I feel like a kid again" I said. "Yep me too. We are big kids. Right?" Yuta said. "Hmmm yeah we are" I reply. "I like being a big kid" he laughs. I laugh back. We swing on the swings for a while having fun. "Do you want me to push you hard?" Yuta asks. "Okay go on then" I reply. He gets up and pushes me for a while. "Is it fun?" he said. "Yes it is. A lot of fun" I reply. Yuta laughs. He continues to push me for a while and it was a lot of fun. After we go and get ice cream as that's our favourite thing to get in the park. We get our favourite flavours. Chocolate for me and peanut butter for Yuta. We sit on the bench and eat. "Y/ N, I know this sounds weird but I love being best friends with you" Yuta says. "I do too, Yuta. You're my best friend in the world and I love you" I said. "And I love you too" he smiles. "Awww" I say. He looks at me like he was about to say something to me but we both just laugh. Yuta and I had a great day in the park: playing soccer, playing on the swings and eating ice cream. That's what best friends are for

It's a few months later and Yuta and I are still best friends of course. I think I'm ready to tell him now I really feel. I'm obviously nervous about telling him I have feelings for him as we are best friends and we have known each other for ages. We will always be best friends no matter what. I love Yuta no matter how he feels about me. Tonight Yuta and I are having a fun night at his place. We are having a sushi night where we make sushi and enjoy eating it of course. It's another of our favourite things to do. Sushi is the National food of Japan and it's delicious and we love it. I'm on my way to Yuta's place now. He's bought all the ingredients in so it's all good. We can't wait to make some delicious sushi together. I tell him when I'm on my way. Yuta's place isn't far from mine. I arrived soon and got caught in no traffic which is good. I knock on the door of Yuta's apartment when I get there. "Hey" he said when he sees me. "Hey, you" I said. I go in and he gives me a big hug. "I think we should get started right away. I'm starving" Yuta said. "Sure we can. You've got everything ready" I say. "Yep" he said. We both put an apron on wash our hands before we start cooking sushi. We do all the preparing first. We've done this before so we know what we are doing without using a recipe. We both do our own bits each. "This is so much fun" Yuta says. "Yes you bet it is" I reply. We make the sushi's till they were done. Our fingers were pretty fishy but we wash them. Then we sit down to eat. We always use chopsticks for sushi as that's the way to eat them. "Delicious" Yuta said. "Incredibly delicious" I smile. We eat and devoured our sushi and it was amazing. Loved it again. After we tidy up and sit on the couch and chill

Yuta and I sit on the couch and talk for a bit. "So what should we do now we've made our sushi" he said. "I don't know just chill and let it go down" I reply. "Yeah sure. Sounds good" he said. Yuta and I sit on the couch for a while and chill. We find something on TV to watch. We laugh about funny things too. I shuffle closer to Yuta and look at him. I am about to tell him how I really feel about him. "What's up, Y/ N? Is there something on your mind?" Yuta said. "Yeah there is actually but I'm a little afraid to say it" I reply. "No what is it? Just say, Y/ N" he said. "Okay, Yuta. I know we've known each other forever and been best friends for ages but I feel another way about you. What I'm trying to say is. I have feelings for you, Yuta" I say. "Do you?" he says. "Yes I do but I understand if you don't feel the same about me" I said. "No I do, Y/ N. I think I love you. I love you more than I friend" Yuta said. "Really? I was scared you wouldn't" I smile. "No why wouldn't I? You're an amazing girl, Y/ N and I love you" he said. "So is this it? Are we going to become more than friends?" I say. "Yes we can. I want you to be my girlfriend, Y/ N" Yuta said. "Of course I'd love to be" I smile. Yuta and I look at each other and exchange smiles then a kiss. Things went a little far and we ended up making out and taking our clothes off and we made out but nothing else happened. So Yuta and I are best friends that have known each other since we were teenagers. We happened to fall in love and decided to admit our love to each other and get together. We are so happy and maybe we'll spend the rest of our lives with each other
