💖 Vernon- Seventeen 💖

This is my own original idea

I work at a rock climbing place. I am not an instructor or anything. Oh no. I work on the refreshments counter serving food and drinks to people there. I like my job it's good but nothing I want to do long term. I guess it gets me money and experience for the future. I'm only 20 and still in college. There is this guy called Vernon who comes in every now and then. He comes in with his friends. There are several of them. Different ones sometimes. Don't know their names. Vernon is a nice guy. I've talked to him every time since he's been coming which is a few months now. He's always really friendly and nice. He's cute too. Yes I do have a crush on him. One of the cutest guys I've seen. He comes rock climbing a couple of times a month. The refreshment counter is near to the rock climbing area. I am working too. It's Saturday so it's usually busier. Mainly with children and families. Vernon has been in on a Saturday before. I am setting up the food and drinks counter with my colleague. The place has just opened up for the day. It's 10am. Vernon doesn't usually come till the afternoons. I am busy serving people and I don't get a break till mid afternoon but that's okay. I just had my break and now I get back to work. I see Vernon coming in with three of his friends. I think it's Wonwoo, Seungkwan and Hoshi. They buy their tickets and join the line by the refreshments. I serve him in a few minutes. "Hey, Y/ N" he said. "Hi, Vernon" I reply. "How's it going?" he asks. "You know okay. What can I get you and your friends" I ask. "Just some drinks and snacks before we rock climb" Vernon says. "Cool. Coming right up" I reply. I get Vernon and his friends drinks and snacks. "Okay we'll see you later, Y/ N" he said. "Okay. Have fun" I say. Vernon gives me a cute little smile. He goes away to eat with his friends and then they rock climb

I finish work a couple of hours later, I think. Vernon and his friends are still around. I haven't seen them since they came to get food and drinks. I grab my things and leave as it's the end of my shift. I am catching the bus home. As I'm leaving I see Vernon by the door. He was just on his own. "Hi, Y/ N. Are you leaving?" He asked. "Yes I am. Done for the day" I reply. "So how was your day?" Vernon asks. "I was okay. Thanks. Where are your friends?" I reply. "They left" he replies. "Oh okay" I reply. "Y/ N, you probably think it's weird that I'm here" Vernon says. "No I don't think it's weird why you're here" I reply. "Well there's something I want to ask you"
He said. "Sure" I reply. "Well I come here a lot as I like rock climbing but I also like seeing you too" he said. "That's sweet of you, Vernon. I like it when cute guys like you come in" I reply. "Yes I think it's a really cool place you work at. But I also like you too. You're cute and pretty" he said. He made me blush. I was lost for words. "I like you too, Vernon. You seem a really sweet guy" I reply. "I've been finding the courage to ask you out for a while now. Maybe we could go out on a date. I would love that, Y/ N" Vernon smiles. "Yes sure. I'd love that, Vernon. That would be great" I reply. "This sounds weird but maybe we could do rock climbing here" he said. "No that would be good. I've actually never rock climbed before. It looks fun I wanna try it" I reply. "It is fun. I'll teach you. I've got pretty good since I've started coming here" he said. "Yes I can't wait" I reply. "How about next Saturday after you've worked?" Vernon said. "Yeah that should work out" I say. "Wait I'll give you my number and we can text" he said. We exchanged numbers and Vernon walks me to the bus stop. I've missed the bus but I'll get on the next one. I can't believe Vernon just asked me out. I said yes and I'm looking forward to going rock climbing with him next Saturday

It's next Saturday and I'm going on my date with Vernon after work. I can't wait to go out with him. We are going rock climbing where I work. Obviously after I've worked. I am working now and Vernon is coming by after. I am counting down the minutes till I finish work and I can go out with Vernon. It will soon be time. I am busy serving people drinks and snacks. Vernon keeps texting me and distracting me during my work. When it was time to leave, I grab my things. I get changed in the bathroom into something more comfortable. I wear leggings with a hoodie that's comfortable for rock climbing. Vernon said he's waiting for me outside so I go outside and see him waiting there for me. "Hey, Y/ N. You're here" he said. "Yes why wouldn't I be?" I reply. "I don't know" he laughs. "Nice to see you anyway, Vernon" I reply. "Yes it's nice to see you too, Y/ N. Let's go rock climbing now. Can't wait" Vernon said. "Me too" I say. I go in. Since I work there I got a discount which was good. Vernon had to pay the full price but he didn't mind. We got all the harnesses and ropes put on by the instructor. Vernon wanted to show me first as he was more experienced than me. This is my first time so I watched him. "Looks scary" I say. "It's really not" he replies. "Make sure you're right by my side when it's my go" I says. "Of course" he smiles from up high" Vernon smiles. Vernon goes to the top and he is pulled down by the instructor. Next was my go. I get positioned on the rock. "Just take it easy. It's only your first time" Vernon said. He held me to begin with till I got off on my own feet. I was being cautious to try not to slip. Vernon watched me from down there and waved to me. I think I did okay. He praised me when I got down. "Well done, Y/ N. You did very good" Vernon smiles. "Thanks" I reply. We had several goes each and had a lot if fun. I enjoyed rock climbing for the first time. After we get something to eat and drink at the refreshment stand I usually work at. "That was fun I enjoyed it" I say. "Well you seemed like you were enjoying it. I know you were a little nervous at first but I guess that's normal when it's something new" Vernon said. "Yeah" i reply. Vernon and I had a lot of fun on out date and we are going to go out again. The date finished with a kiss before I left

Vernon and I have been dating for about a month now and we are really enjoying our time together as a couple. I would say we are a couple. We realise that we have a few things in common such as being Harry Potter fans, we both like Star Wars too, our favourite animals are cats and we both have a sweet tooth. So yes we have quite a lot in common which is good. Vernon and I are hanging out tonight at his place. We are having a Harry Potter night. We are not watching all the movies in one night. It would be impossible as there are eight and they're all long. We are watching half tonight and the other another time. I am at Vernon's place now and we are about to start our Potter movie marathon. We have food and drinks set out on the table and we are about to start watching now. "Let's get started" Vernon said starting the first movie. "Sure thing" I reply. We snuggle together on the couch and watch the first Harry Potter movie with popcorn and snacks and drinks. Vernon puts his arms around me as we watch. It takes us till almost midnight to watch all the movies back to back. I fell asleep on Vernon's shoulder before he takes me home. "Okay, sleep head. Let's get you home" Vernon says. "Yeah" I yawn. I grab my stuff and he takes me home. We talk about our fun Harry Potter movie night together. Vernon and I are now dating and we couldn't be happier

A/ N: I love Vernon. He was my original bias in SVT. Still is now along with Joshua and Woozi. He's amazing. Such an awesome guy. Who doesn't love Vernon?
