I am a bit jealous of my cousin because she is so beautiful and any guy falls at her feet. Me and her have never seen eye to eye. She has always accused me of being jealous of her because I get good grades in school and she doesn't. She's not that smart. She plays dumb. I am insecure and my cousin Hina is popular and into herself too much. She is dating my life long crush. This guy called Niki. I have had a crush on him for the longest time and Hina is dating him now. I can't believe it. She's only dating him because she knows that I like him and she wants to make me jealous. She even took Niki's virginity. She forced him into bed. Niki is too blind to see what she's like. He is the kind of guy who is nice to everyone and doesn't want to be rude because he's not like that to people. I hope someday he will find out what she's like and break up with her. Anyway today is school and Hina and Niki go to my school. Niki and I have some classes together. I am on my bus on my way to school now. Hina and Niki are often seen making out by the pockets every morning. She's all over him. I can't stand to see it. I arrive at school and head straight to my locker to get the books out that I need. Niki's locker is near mine. "Oh hey, Y/ N" he said. "Hi, Niki" I smile. "Where you off to first?" he asks. "Biology" I reply. "Cool" he said. Hina struts over a minute later. "Hey, babe" she says to Niki putting her arms around him. "Hey" he smiles because he's that kind of guy. I watch them kiss and then walk away. She doesn't even look at me because she can't. I don't care anyway. I will just move on and forget about them for the time being

It's the next day and Hina is not in school. Don't know why she's off. She wasn't sick yesterday. At least Niki can breathe without her anyway. I am going to the library after lunch to print something off for the next. I go to the library and sit at a computer and print off my work. I go to the printer and Niki walks into the library. He looks at me and smiles and I smile back. "Hi, Y/ N" he said. "Hey, Niki" I say. "Are you going to class?" he asks. "Yeah in a few minutes" I reply. "Do you have a moment or after school I can see you?" Niki says. "After school. I don't wanna be late to my next class" I say. "No problem" he said. I leave the library and go to my class. A couple of hours later and school has finished. Niki has asked me to meet him in the library again. I guess he wants to talk to me about something. We never get a moment alone me and him. I go to the library and wait for him. Niki comes a few minutes later. "Hi, Y/ N" he said. "Hey" I say. He sits by me. "Y/ N, Can I talk to you about something?" Niki said. "Sure" I smile. "Well I'm not happy with Hina. I don't know how to get away from her. I need to get away from her. I just don't like her, Y/ N" Niki said. "Yeah I know what she's like. She's my own cousin. Trust me. I've known her all my life. She is the biggest bitch I know" I say. "Yeah I know. Right?" he laughs. "You know I'm always here for you, Niki" I say. "Yes you are, Y/ N. I know that you're a good friend. I'm stuck with Hina. I feel like I can't be myself" he said. "Niki, she's only dating you to get back at me. Well because you know. She doesn't like me" I say. "Yeah" he replies. I almost told him I had a crush on him but I didn't. I don't want him to know that. Not while he's dating my cousin. I didn't mind Niki confiding in me at all. I was only happy he did. I just want him to break up with my bitchy cousin

It's been a few weeks now and I think Niki and I have gotten closer these last few weeks. He's still dating Hina. She way too clingy with him. I'm trying to him him get away from her but it's not easy. I still hate her with a passion and don't want her to be with my crush. Niki is trying to get way from her. I know he is. It's after school and I'm home finishing off some homework before I go to bed. I don't like working after school but sometimes it's gotta be done. I sit on my bed on my laptop when I hear a noise coming from outside. I get up and look out side and Niki is stood on the drive. He was throwing stones at my window. "Niki, what are you doing here. You know my parents will see you" I say. "Sorry, Y/ N. Can I talk to you?" he asks. "Okay but I'm doing work. As see as it's you" I say. I sneak Niki in through the front door. My parents were in their room. Hopefully they won't hear a thing. "So what's going on? Why'd you come at this hour?" I say. "Because there is something I need to tell you, Y/ N" Niki said. "Okay" I reply. "I finally broke up with Hina" he said. "Really? Did you? That's great. Yay!" I say. "Yeah I know. She didn't take it well unfortunately" he said. "Oh but that's her problem" I say. "Yeah I know. I'm so happy I finally did it. I can't believe it" Niki said pulling me in for a hug. He holds me right and my heart skips a beat. I definitely felt something else when he pulled me in like that. "I'm so glad you did it, Niki. That's great news" I smile. "I'm glad to be away from her. I felt stifled by her all the time" Niki said. "I know. She's the worst person I know" I say. "Yeah" he replies. I pull Niki in for a hug again. He leaves a few minutes later. I'm so glad that Niki broke up with Hina. It was about time. Maybe I have a chance of getting closer to him now. I might have a chance

Niki and I have grown closer over the last few weeks. We have been hanging out more and spending time together. The other day I even let slip that I have a crush on him. He didn't say anything back but I do have a crush on him. I can't help but have a crush on him. Hina doesn't know that we are having out and she doesn't have to know. Her and Niki aren't dating anymore so she can't say anything. She thinks she can tell everyone what to do. Not me. I know what she's like. Anyway Niki knows how I feel about him now but I don't know how he feels about me but hopefully the same. Niki has asked to come over to my place this afternoon. It's okay because my parents are not in at the moment so we will have the house to ourselves for a bit which is good. Niki is definitely a good friend now. I am waiting for him to arrive. He shouldn't be too long now. A few more minutes later I see him arriving outside my house. "Hey, Niki" I say opening the door. "Hi, Y/ N. Good to see you" he said. "Good to see you too" I smile. He follows me in and we get a drink and sit on the couch in the lounge. We talk about things but Niki said he needs to talk to me about something in particular. "Y/ N, I have known you for ages now and you've always been one of the coolest people I've known" Niki said. "Yeah same, Niki. As you know I have a crush on you" I say. "Yeah you do. I have a crush on you. I have always preferred you over Hina of course" Niki said. I laughed. "I think we should go out on a date sometime and maybe become boyfriend and girlfriend. Actually we should go out now somewhere to eat" he said. "Yeah that would be great, Niki" I reply. "Okay let's go I guess" he said. We leave my place and go to a nice Udon noodle place down town. That was your first date and Niki asked me to be his girlfriend at the end of the date. I said yes of course. We are now boyfriend and girlfriend and that's great. We will not tell Hina. We will wait for her to find out. I got the boy of my dreams
