~Angel~

Oh no. No no no. She saw my eyes. She wasn't supposed to see them yet. She's going to ask me a million questions that I can't answer. Or worse. I'm gonna have to lie to her. But there was something else on my mind.

The kiss.

It was everything I thought it would be. It sent waves of pleasure throughout my whole body. Even if it was only for a second, it was amazing. And I know Annabel felt it too. She was stunned. I was glad I had that affect on her. Chapin walked in stirring me out of my thoughts.

"Greetings brother. What's the news on the girl?" Chapin sat down on the edge of my bed while I paced back and forth.

"She saw my eyes..." I didn't look at her once as I continued to pace.

"Good! Everything is going into affect then." She smiled at me but I couldn't return one.

"No! You don't understand. She doesn't know what I am. But I think she knows who I am. My eyes definitely gave me away.... She wasn't supposed to know yet..." I continued pacing, slower now, until Chapin stood up and stopped me.

"Angel, she was going to find out eventually. It's ok. Explain it to her gently. It's about time she knows everything..." With that, she left my room and I sat down on my bed.

I have to tell her. But how?

~Annabel~

The rest of the week went by fast. Angel wasn't at school at all after the cafeteria incident. I was kind of worried but I figured, he's a big boy. He can take care of himself.

It was Friday, which meant the beach party was tonight. I got a ride home from school by Carlos. We really grew closer, seeing as he could finally talk to me in class without Angel being there to shoot us dirty looks. Jealous much. I smiled at the thought.

Once I said goodbye to Carlos, I used my key to open the front door and walked in to see an empty house. There was yet another note on the kitchen counter as I approached it.

"Won't be back till late. Left $50 on the counter for food. Don't forget the beach party tonight. Love ya:)-D and C"

Well at least they remembered me telling them about the beach party. I wasn't surprised to see they weren't home though.

Kasey and Star were planning on coming over to help me pick out an outfit for tonight. I'm sorta nervous, because Carlos is my first official "date". If I can even call it that. He said he was picking me up at 6. That gives me a whole 3 hours to get ready. I started rummaging through my closet and soon enough, the doorbell rang. I ran down the stairs and opened the door.

"Hey Kasey! Hey Star!" I smiled and gave them each a hug before leading them up to my room.

"Nice place you got here. Now if your clothing choices are as good as your house, we'll have no problem." Star laughed and walked into my walk in closet while Kasey and I sat on my bed.

"So...you and Carlos, huh?" Kasey gave me a knowing look while I looked at her questioningly.

"What about us?" I played stupid.

"Well considering he hasn't stopped talking about you for the last couple days, I would say he's totally into you. So the question is, do you like him too?" She waited patiently while I pondered my answer.

"Well...." I couldn't help the blush that rose to my cheeks.

"Oh my god!" Kasey squealed. "You're totally into him! That is so cute! It's about time he gets a girl. It'll get him off my back. Trust me, being his sister is a 24/7 kind of job." She smiled just as Star came out of my closet holding what I presumed to be my outfit for tonight.
