~Angel~

Crash.

My lamp collided with the wall and I yelled at the top of my lungs. Annabel was kidnapped. I knew this as soon as I approached her room. I couldn't sense her anywhere in her house. To tell you the truth, I couldn't sense her at all. Normally I would be able to with the mate bond, but it's like she no longer existed. She was nonexistent.

"Brother..." I sighed and a tear threatened to spill out of my now red eyes.

"I should have been there.... I just let her go like a coward..."

"Riz..." My eyes snapped up and I glared at Chapin.

She must of realized her mistake because she backed up quickly.

"Never. Ever. Call me that." My voice was getting higher with each word.

But the thing was, I wasn't mad at her, or anyone else for that matter.

I was mad at myself.

Cilix appeared in front of Chapin within seconds and I rolled my eyes. If looks could kill, you get the drift.

Over protective mother fucker.

"I think you should keep your voice down. You're a threat to my mate when you're like this." He wrapped his arm around her waist and she pushed away.

"Cilix. I'll handle this. He's my brother and he's scared." She gave him a pleading look. "We need to find her..." She whispered the last part and my lip quivered.

Crying was not my thing. But Annabel never failed to make me cry. More than once actually. She was making me weak.

I sat down on my bed and the tears came out. I couldn't hold it back anymore. I broke down and Chapin noticed right away. She ran to me, despite Cilix trying to hold her back, and cooed to me as she held me in her arms.

"Shh... Rizoel, it's ok. She's a strong girl. She'll be fine. And we'll find her. And she'll be all yours again." I could sense the doubt in her voice even though she tried not to show it.

My sister was a pretty good liar.

Just then, Jacques came busting through my bedroom door.

"We found her." I didn't need to be told twice.

I was surprised that they found her so quickly. The boys have been looking for her ever since I found out she was gone. That was three hours ago.

"Well where is she?" It came out a little too demanding and I cursed myself for getting so upset.

"She's not exactly...here." I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, she's not here. On earth. She's in hell." Yeah she must be.

"Literally." My eyes widened and then I realized something.

Hell means... Shit. No this can't be happening. If she's there, the prophecy can't take place.

"We need to get to her before they do." Chapin stood up and started pacing.

"I'm afraid that's already happened." Jacques lowered his head and sighed.

Chapin stopped short and her eyes snapped to me.

"The mind link! Use your mind link Rizoel! She'll hear you! You can use it anywhere at anytime and she'll hear you!" I realized she was right.

I concentrated real hard on her and only her. God, please hear this.

'Annabel! Can you hear me? Are you ok? We're coming for you...' Please hear me.

All I could do now was wait.

~Annabel~

Carlos led me into a huge room. It's ceiling seemed to touch the heavens. That's a little contradicting actually. It seemed to touch earth if we're being technical here. Everything was dark colors. There were no bright things to be seen. It reminded me of a haunted house. Except, more elegant. A woman sat on a thrown at the far end of the room. She was dressed in a blood red gown that draped across her to the floor. A small black crown was placed perfectly on her head amongst silky blonde hair. As we approached her, I took in her facial features. She had red eyes, that seemed to pierce through your soul. Her smile was kind of creepy, worse than Carlos. She was absolutely flawless, not a mark on her smooth pale face.

"Ahh. You must be Annabel. Welcome home my dear." An involuntarily shutter wracked through me.

My thoughts went back to Riz. I wonder what he was doing right now? Probably celebrating the fact that I'm gone so he doesn't have to experience anymore pain.

"Carlos, could I have her alone for a moment?" He nodded his head in respect and walked through a set of double doors nearby.

An awkward silence echoed throughout the room and the tension was growing thicker by the second.

"Stop thinking about that angel." Her stern voice caught me off guard and my eyes widened slightly.

"Yes. I can read minds. I am queen of hell after all. Now I don't want you thinking of him ever again. Do you understand me?" I quickly nodded in agreement.

I guess I can't think about anything anymore.

"Good. Carlos will be married to you soon. Trust me, if he knew you were thinking about that angel he would skin him alive. Not like he's not already planning on it." She mumbled the last sentence and I had to strain to hear it.

This isn't good. Not at all. Carlos walked back in seconds later and gently grabbed my hand.

"Are you ready to eat, my dear?" I wearily nodded.

I suppose I could play along. I don't want to end up getting in trouble. This is a dangerous place to be right now.

He led me to a dining room and sat me down next to the head of the table. I figured that's where his mom would be sitting.

Boy was I wrong.

She came in accompanied by a man with eyes as black as night and equally black hair. In fact, his whole outfit was black, except for his skin which was a pale white.

He was the one who sat beside me and Carlos sat across from me. The mystery man made eye contact with me and I downcast my eyes. I couldn't look at him. His eyes were swimming pools of blackness that seemed to pull you down until you drowned in them.

"You must be Annabel." His voice was ruff and I gently nodded my head.

"Boy she's a shy one, son." Carlos chuckled.

Oh so that's his dad then.

"Yeah. But I think I can bring out another side of her." I looked up at him in disbelief.

All three of them began to laugh and I scoffed. Carlos stopped and his parents followed suit.

"I'm sorry sweetheart. I didn't mean to upset you. I was just creating small talk." I sighed and waved it off.

"This is my father, Lucifer." My eyes shot up and my eyebrows rose.

So Carlos is the son of satan. That makes sense.

"My mother's name is Azrael. I don't believe she told you." I shook my head and smiled politely.

Wait a minute. That name sounded familiar. Something Riz told me one time, but I couldn't quite place it.

The food arrived shortly after and I couldn't help but notice that Lucifer didn't receive food. He drank from a goblet which contained god knows what. I took small bites of the food placed in front of me. My appetite seemed to be nonexistent. I was beyond thirsty though.

I drank from the goblet in front of me and scrunched my nose. It had a peculiar taste to it but at the same time I kind of liked it. It made me want more. I looked up to see Carlos smiling at me. A genuine smile like earlier.

He didn't seem so scary anymore. In fact, he was kind of c-

'Annabel! Can you hear me? Are you ok? We're coming for you...'

My heartbeat quickened. Was that Riz? It couldn't be. Wait! The mind link! Oh my god, how did I forget?

'Riz! I'm so sorry! I shouldn't of made you so upset! I'm in hell, do you think you can find me? Carlos took me...' I made it look like I wasn't talking to myself.

And I prayed to god Azrael couldn't hear my mind link. She seemed indifferent as I stole a glance at her. She was eating her food as if nothing was going on. I looked at Lucifer and he seemed just as indifferent as her.

'Yes. I know exactly where you are. We'll be there. And I'm sorry for letting you go. I love you, Bel. See you soon. Don't get into any trouble.' I smiled but quickly concealed it.

Wouldn't want anyone seeing me smile for no reason. They'd suspect something.

Just then I started to feel loopy. The room was spinning and my vision was going in and out. Carlos stood up and came to my aid.

"Mother! What have you done?" Her laugh came out evil.

"Now she won't think about anyone but you. She'll forget soon enough. I did it for you." Carlos had a look of pure horror on his face.

Before I slipped into unconsciousness, I realized where I heard Azrael before. Riz never went into details, but he did tell me a few things about his parents.

Azrael was the name of Riz's mother.
