"Name?" "He said it was Thor" Jane replies as we stood in the waiting room of an ER. I watch as Thor is wheeled past us and focused my attention back on the receptionist who was typing really slowly. "And your relationship to him?" "I've never met him before" Jane says shaking her head. "Until she hit him with a car" Darcy intervenes in order to rat Jane out. "I grazed him, but she tasered him" Jane says quickly. "Yes, I did" Darcy comments obviously proud with herself, I laugh slightly before Erik whisked us all out of there.
We arrived home in the early hours of the morning and I passed out on my bed, asleep. An couple of hours later I woke up to multiple voices in the house. I quickly get changed and trudge into the kitchen feeling extremely groggy.

I pause at the sight of Thor pacing around the kitchen, putting on a shirt. "You know for a crazy homeless person, he's pretty cute" Darcy sighed. I threw myself into a chair and nicked Erik's mug of coffee. "Nice to see you're finally awake" I glare at Erik and continue to drink from his mug to try clear my head, it wasn't working. "How long have you been asleep, Avery? We came back then went to get Thor and you still hadn't woken up. You didn't drink whilst we were away did you?" I look up in disbelief "No I didn't drink I just don't feel too great and my head is pounding as though a 50 ton truck was rammed into me so please don't shout at me, every little sound is making it worse." I manage a weak smile before resting my head on my arms. "This mortal form has grown weak. I need sustenance." Thor exclaims after a small talk with Jane. Is there somewhere to eat in this meagre town? "Yes" I answer but they all looked at me as though I had a second head. "Umm there's a cafe just around the corner, I just thought if I had some food it might make me feel better." I quickly explain whilst wondering if I had just imagined the voice that sounded suspiciously like Thor's. I shook my head and stood up. I walked to Jane but swayed and almost fell over. "Woah, are you sure you want to go out" "Yeah, I'm fine or I will be, stop worrying Jane" I wave her off and walk out the door, resisting the urge to faint. _________________________ We had taken a seat at the local cafe and Thor was devouring everything edible in sight. I sigh but winced in pain when my headache tripled. So I'm no more than a stolen relic, locked up here until you have use of me. I closed my eyes in an attempt to block out the pain. Because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard! I double over slightly at the shouting that came out of nowhere but I acted as though it hadn't suddenly got ten times worse. "How'd you get inside that cloud" Jane asks the second Thor finished eating. "Also, how could you eat an entire box of pop-tarts and still be this hungry?" Darcy wonders still with a slightly dreamy expression, I roll my eyes slightly and resume trying to find release from the pain in my head. Instead of answering Thor just says he likes the drink before he shouts "Another!" and smashes the cup into the ground. I wince and cover my ears at the sudden outbursts of noise but it seemed worse because of the headache and the fact every sound, every voice echoed round my head. What the hell is he doing That's gonna cost them I hope we don't get into too much trouble I swear that man my be cute but he knows nothing about being normal That hammer down at the crater is a piece of work They don't do that here on Midgard but I must find my hammer or I become nothing. I shot up from the table clutching my head in my hand, Erik stood as well and put his hand on my shoulder. "Ava are you okay?" I try to nod but another wave of pain hit making me whimper. I hope she is alright, this person or god or whoever he is has caused enough trouble as it is. I shrug off his hand then make the excuse of needing air before staggering out of the small cafe. I stumbled across the street and I found a shaded corner where no one could see me. I slid down the wall, the coolness feeling nice against my side and flushed cheeks. I close my eyes and finally relax. __________________________ I open my eyes to find myself on a cliff, the slightly salty smell refreshes my mind and I finally felt at peace for the first time in the last hour. I turn and notice a figure hunched over, his shoulders shaking as though he was either crying or holding in anger. "Hey are you okay?" I ask walking over to them. The shaking stilled and the figure stood up rapidly and spun around. It was Loki? "You came back?" I frowned not understanding what he meant. "I'm sorry, I don't know you" He smirks despite his eyes being slightly red from crying. "Oh but you do, don't worry I'll be waiting for you to remember. This used to be our safe place" He turns to face the sea and so do I. "It's so quite, it's nice" I close my eyes feeling the breeze run through my hair. "That's why you liked so much, you always said it was quite." He then turned from the view and walked away. "You should probably wake up, your sister is getting worried". He flickered out of view before I could say anything else. __________________________ My eyes fluttered open and see Thor walking by without Jane for some reason. "Thor!" I shout trying to get his attention. He pauses and turns to face me. "Are you feeling better, Lady Avery" "It's just Ava and I'm feeling much better, where's Jane?" "Lady Jane and I split ways, I believe she went back to her residence" Thor says waving behind him. I nod in relief. "Good luck with whatever you are doing" I say and about to turn when he asks me a question. "Do you know where I could find a horse. I must reclaim Mjolnir and go back home" I stood for a second "A horse?" He nods in complete sincerity. "Umm I'm sorry I can't quite help you but you could try the pet store" I shrug and say goodbye before heading back to the lab. _________________________ I sidestepped when multiple professional vehicles drove away from our house. What is going on? I run back to the lab to see everything had been taken and Jane, Darcy and Erik sitting on the roof. I clambered up to them "Guys what happened?" "Shield..." Erik started before Jane butted in "Shield took my life's work and all my equipment for research purposes because of a supposed security threat." I sigh and sit down as they talk about what to do. Erik and Darcy had gone downstairs when thought popped up in Jane's head. Thor. I glance over at her. "No Jane" She looks at me "what?" "I know what you're thinking, we can't sneak into shield property to steal a hammer back because you're annoyed and you've got the hots for Thor." She rolled her eyes "I'm just going to get some answers, are you in or not?" "Yes I'm in but this is not going to go well" I stood up and me and Jane got into my car to find Thor. _________________________ We arrived at shield's temporary base long after the sun had gone down. I had driven whilst Thor and Jane had a conversation that I hadn't bothered to listen to. I parked up and we all ran to small mound that managed to conceal us. I felt the pain return slightly as thunder began to appear around us. "Now stay here. Once I have Mjolnir, I will return the items they've stolen from you. Deal?" Thor says whilst giving Jane his jacket, I continued to watch out for agents that might hear us. "No. Look what's down there. You think you're just gonna walk in, grab our stuff and walk out?" Jane asks with doubt written all over her face. Thor just smirks and stands up confidently "No. I'm going to fly out." Jane's mouth drops open as rain started to fall heavily and Thor ran down the small hill. I double over as a wave of pain surged through my head, I could see Thor battling his way through multiple guards and also a man with an arrow that was getting ready to shoot him. I tumbled to the floor no longer able to remain on my feet. "Ava? Avery?" Jane notices and tries to make me focus but my pain induced brain refuses to let me do so. "Avery, focus on me" Jane tries to pull me back up but another wave came at me and I saw Thor beat someone up then approach a hammer in the centre of the base. "J-Jane you need t-to g-go" I say through the pain. "Why? I can't leave you here" "Jane, I'm t-t-two seconds f-from sc-screaming. I d-don't want y-you to be c-caught" I say then double over again only now realising that my tears had mixed with the rain around us. She nods then gives me Thor's coat and leaves. I roll and tumble down the hill unknowingly catching the eye of a certain assassin; I curl into a ball and let out scream as I see Thor shout out because he couldn't lift his hammer. As soon as the pain came, it disappeared and I layer in the mud too exhausted to move, I lift my hand at the sudden light that was shined on me. I see a figure with a bow strapped to his back coming toward me before my arm dropped and everything went black
