Mia couldn't help but roll her eyes at the boy's poorly-timed comment. Herself, Embry and Jared had been asked to take a startled Bella to Sam's. Something the girl wasn't very pleased with as she could already imagine how awkward the car ride would be. However, as they were taking the Swan girls truck - which was only a two-seater - Mia practically jumped into the cargo bed, the Cameron boy following closely, which left Embry to drive as Bella was still traumatised.
The boy drove impossibly slow once he had lost the battle of convincing Mia to squeeze between himself and the girl who ran with the vampires. He claimed it was for safety reasons but soon quietened once Jared claimed he could look after the human by wrapping his arms around the girl he sat next to, something the wolf didn't particularly like to see.
Hushed giggled filled the short journey as Mia couldn't help but laugh at the boy's antics who kept her company. However, she did feel slightly bad once they had pulled up to the small house, and Bella raised her concerns for Jacob. The girl knew exactly how she felt, the daunting feeling in your stomach at the thought there are other creatures out there besides humans.
The guilt she felt only raised once the two boys had jumped out of the truck - Embry rushing round to help his imprint down - as the two were already placing bets on who would win the fight that had just broken out minutes ago.
"I hope Paul gets some teeth in him. Serve him right." Jared commented as the trio began to walk into the house they all called home. The boys continued their argument. However, Mia decided to stay back as the pale brunette hadn't moved from her seat in the truck.
"You look like you've just seen a monster. I promise, they don't bite; well, Jacob did nip me once, but we were kids, and I had just eaten the last slice of pizza." The teen stammered out as she slowly made her way over to where Bella was. The last comment brought a small smile to the girls face, which quickly prompted her soon follow the crew into Emily and Sam's house. Mia could see the girl's caution, so slowed her movements, which caused the two to walk in sync towards the home. Stopping abruptly, Embry was quick to speak up as he didn't want to make the experience any more complicated for the Swan girl.
"Oh, hey, about Emily - Sam's fiancé - Just try not to stare. It bugs Sam." The boy quietly said before holding the door open for the two girls, making Mia smile brightly as she adored how kind he was.
Bella was confused by the remark, but once in the tiny home's kitchen, but soon spotted what the boy was talking about. Mia was there when it happened, the incident. It was one of the main reasons why the two girls were now extremely close, so the brunette appreciated the comment made by the wolf as she hated it being brought up as well.
