Bella stepped out of her old truck looking the same as she did last night - exhausted, sad and, somewhat, lonely. The only ounce of emotion she showed was the tight smile she gave Jacob once he had jogged up to her and hugged her.

Mia watched the two speak from where she comfortability sat in the boys shed, and she couldn't help but feel sadness for the girl who was going through some emotional dilemma. But she soon pushed that thought to the back of her mind as the two quickly made their way over to the small, rustic building in which the girl was currently sitting in.

Even though Mia invited the dark-haired girl to hang out, they still weren't exactly friends, so with a quick smile to one another, the trio quickly started getting out the bikes which Jacob had been working on for the last few weeks. But before they could have their fun, the teen boy of the three had a few more small things to make sure they were perfect, which quickly led Mia to listen in on the conversation between the two as she picked at her nails.

"Yo, Jake, you in there?" A sudden voice spoke up from the other side of the door, but without a reply, the boy soon walked into where the other teenagers were. Bella jumped up in slight shock at the sudden voice, but Jake was quick to soothe her by reassuring her that it was just 'his boy' Quil Ateara.

"Hey dude, this is Bella. Bella, this is Quil," Jacob quickly introduced the two, already knowing that Mia knew the boy from school. The four teenagers were quick to dive into teasing discussion about Jacob and his crush on Bella, but it soon turned physical as the two boys began to play fight over the fact that Quil brought up that Jacob had said that Bella was his girlfriend.

Mia and the Swan girl watched on in amusement, but once Jacob picked up a random tool from the floor, the two girls' more tanned was quick to step in.

"Jacob, drop it!" Mia not-so teasingly shouted at her close friend.

She was only worried that he would accidentally hurt the smaller boy as she had noticed the many little changes that a person with wolf blood would have in them before shifting. But Jacob didn't know that, so he took slight offence in the tone his friend used on him.

"Don't yell at me like I'm a dog."

"Don't throw hammers then," Mia quickly sassed back, which made the boy quickly drop to tool to the floor before rolling his eyes at his overprotective longtime friend. After their encounter, Quil was quick to excuse himself, and the bikes were soon out in the open to ride.

Jacob offered the girls to have a go first as there were only two bikes, but Mia was extremely fast to turn down the idea with a loud "I don't want to die" and happily finding a comfy spot on a nearby tree stump.

The first roar of the bike started up slightly shocked Mia, but she quickly got over it and decided to enjoy watching the newly done up vehicles drive around. She did roll her eyes slightly at the look the other two teens gave each other when Jacob had to touch Bella's hand when he taught her which pedals to clutch and such.

But then it all happened so quick. One minute Bella was smoothly riding down the dirt track in front of her, then the next, she was flying off the bike and crashing straight into a large rock. Jacob swiftly hopped on the other bike speed down to the injured girl, which unfortunately left Mia to quickly run over to two who now sat next to each other.

What seemed to make Mia snap slightly was when Bella swiftly got up and declared that she wanted to go again. She had a look on her face that Mia recognised from the previous night - a look which she didn't like.

"You're going to get yourself killed if you keep going down this path!" The girl somewhat screamed to Bella.

The Swan girl didn't say anything and instead looked at Jacob in a plead for what to say, but Mia was too angry at her insensitiveness to wanting to get hurt to care to stick around and stay. The teen was quick to walk back to her car and start it back up. She saw that Bella had stepped up when she turned around, so she did feel slightly less bad for leaving her injured.

But Mia had been through dealing with someone who intentionally wanted to harm themselves, and she wasn't sure if she could go through that again. The girl drove through La Push with her music blaring in hopes that she would try and forget what Bella had done, and once she spotted her favourite people near at the top of the cliff, she immediately pulled into Sam and Emily's house and ran to join them all.

Mia had never participated in the cliff jumping as she knew only werewolves were able to handle the cold water and high impact fall, but she loved watching it as the waves crashing below her always seemed to calm her down.

It was only Paul, Sam and her uncle Jay once she had got there. The other pack members had just jumped into the freezing water, and the remaining boys were quick to greet the small girl. That was until Paul noticed the red substance that stained the top of her knuckles.

"Why do you have blood on your hands!" He demanded, which quickly caught the two older men's attention as they were very protective of the young girl. Mia groaned out slightly as she now had three very stern pairs of eyes awaiting her answer - one which she honestly didn't know herself.

"I was hanging out with Bella Swan, and she fell off Jacobs bike. I must've got some of her blood on me or something," The girl mumbled out once Jay had checked her over for any cuts and found none.

Sam and Paul scowled at the name of the girl she was hanging out with. Still, Mia only rolled her eyes as even if she wasn't the biggest fan of the vampire species, she didn't blame Bella for who she associated herself with as if she was to know about werewolves - she would probably do the same.

However, before the three could start to lecture her on hanging around with the pale-faced girl, Jared's sudden voices and an unknown voice sparked Mia's interest. But what she didn't expect when she turned around was for her life to turn upside down - and all because she looked into his dark brown eyes.
