"So you thought it was a good idea to go after the Avatar, a respected member of my police force. You thought wrong." Toph spat circling the now dizzy man who was moment away from skipping the city with a small bag now scattered on the concrete floor but Toph had arrived moments early and jumped him before he had the chance to flee.

He sat on his ass looking up to the cop who had a strong case of anger as if it was leaking from her face. "Chief Bei fong I can explain." He tried but she didn't give him the chance to lie his way out.

"Shut it! I do the talking." She spat dropping down on her knees to some what glare at the man she couldn't even see but it worked, he gulped retreating backwards quickly to miss her hot breath against his cold face.

"What- what are you going to do to me?"

But before that menacing grin could pop onto her face they are interrupted by a flare of sirens and the soft glow of red and blue from the warehouse window before the doors blown open and two sets of footprints rush into the room "FREEZE, POLICE."

Toph turned quickly using her sense to figure out who had cut her time so short and let's out a sigh when Mako and Bolin stumble in. "What are you doing here?"

Mako drops his hands and approached them both but keeps his eyes on her red shot eyes under that grey tint of her orbs. "Stopping you from doing something stupid. I know y/n means a lot to you but you can't do this." He explained making Toph release a dry chuckle and rise to her feet.

"You really think I'm going to let this slide?"

Mako shook his head and sighed mentally slapping himself for thinking that she could ever see that. "No but I know how much you thought to protect the city. To bring it justice. You know we can't do it this way so let's take him in and do it the Bei fong way." He smiled hopefully trying to pull on the strings of her good heart.

"Don't become them." Bolin explained throwing his hands out to gesture to the man still listening below even when she couldn't see, she knew exactly what he meant. She had fought too much for the city to let herself fall under the criminals that she spend time locking up.

"Excuse me" he asked craning his neck higher and tugging on his cuffs.

"You're the one that stabbed my friend. So shut it!" Bolin snapped suddenly.

"Youre going away for a long time." Mako added pulling the man up onto his feet with his support and drags him by the arm out to the truck waiting.

"only one Avatar left." He muttered under his breath not expecting anyone to hear his small words.

Toph spins him quickly to pin him up against the vans wall with a loud thud. "Oh, you thought he was dead? He's very much alive." She smirked slowly releasing her hand from his chest and letting his breath beat even louder against his fragile chest.

"That's impossible." He breathed out clearly unimpressed that his actions were undone.

"It's the only reason that you're still breathing. Now you have to right to remind silent."
