The attack on the island

It was the next day and you all were in the family dining area. You watch in disgust as Korra is wolfing down her meal beside you however she doesn't take her free hand from yours, holding it for dear life as she pretends to be strong. Tenzin, Pema, Toph, Mako, Bolin and Asami are sitting at the table with you aswell. "The food tastes amazing, Pema. I'm finally starting to feel like myself again."

Pema smiles looking between you both as you stayed quiet playing your food. "We're so thankful that you're both home safe."She rises and begins taking care of the dishes. Asami gets up as well offering her help.

"I realize that you've been through a lot, but I need to know everything that happened." Tenzin asked watching you both but he focuses on Korra as he noticed your head was bowed and you stayed quiet. You felt Korras grip harden as she swallowed harshly.

"Well, first off, Tarrlok isn't who he says he is. He's Yakone's son."

Toph spoke up beside you. "It all makes sense now. That's how Tarrlok was able to bloodbend us without a Full Moon."

"But how did you both escape? And where's Tarrlok?" Tenzin asked leaning over the table a bit more as he listened to your sister.

"Amon captured him... and took his bending." Korra explained.

Tenzin goes shocked "What?"

"Yeah. He showed up outta nowhere. He almost got me, too but y/n saved me" korra frowned remembering how close she was to getting captured again but luckily she had you. Everyone looked at you but you didn't react to anything and continued swirling your chopsticks around the bowl.

"Well I'm glad you had eachother at less. This is very disturbing news. Amon is becoming emboldened. Taking out a councilman, almost capturing both of Avatars. I fear Amon is entering his endgame." Tenzin spoke sending a shiver down your spine. You quickly excused yourself feeling sick to the stomach and raced out the room, letting your legs carry you away. Everyone looked at your exit with a sad look and Korra tried to follow after.

You wondered the empty parts of Air Temple Island trying to calm yourself down. As you opened your eyes you couldn't believe what you were seeing, The assault on the city is visible from your position on the island, you get up quickly rushing back towards the house.

You could hear Tophs voice in range as she gets Tenzins kids to go inside, she could hear the commotion. "All right, kids. Time to go inside!"

You see Korra running outside with Mako, Bolin and Asami close behind her. They spot you and Korra quickly starts to worry. You just gesture towards the city making them all turn towards it. "Republic City is under attack." You yell, you don't even bother to stop and chat but rather run towards the ferry that goes to lands in the harbor of the city where you all disembark.

You help Toph off with your arm guiding her until she could feel her away around with the ground. "Where did you say you parked the car?" Asami asked looking over to Korra who was the last one off of the ferry.

Korra searches around until her eyes finally land on the vehicle. "It's right around here somewhere. There it is!" She points out causing you all to run over. You scoff it seems like Korra used a lamppost in lieu of the brakes.

"That's how it's done!" Toph remarks pointing over to the road where she has parked the car perfectly.

Korra crosses her arms and huffs. "Well I told you all I don't know how to drive!"

"Guys! I think your'll all forgetting the city is under attack!" You snap running over to Tophs car and taking the passenger seat waiting for the girl to get in.

As you wait you see the other climb into theirs. Although by the look of it, it didn't seem to comfortable over there so you were glad you were here instead. "Ready?" Toph smiles placing on her seatbelt and changing gear making the car move.

Both of your cars come racing around the corner. You watch As the Asamis car heads straight toward the mecha tanks, Korra and Bolin earthbend a ramp in its path.

Asami yells over to you both "Jump!" Toph swerves the car to the makeshift ramp following closely behind as you take your seat belt off ready to jump out.
You all leap from the cars just before it hits the ramp and they goes flying through the air, crashing into two of the mecha tanks and destroying them.

You all continue to run to the attack. You get Caught by one mecha tank's grapple hook, and redirect its electric charge into the machine itself, shorting it out but this time being successful.

You see that Korra disables another by bending water into its exhaust pipes, while Bolin knocks it over with earthbending.

But your eyes shoot over to group of Equalists who are loading an unconscious Tenzin into a truck to be taken away. You follow behind
Asami as she confronts them and, using her glove and martial arts skills, defeats them. You help Tenzin up as he recovers consciousness.

He jumps up helping you by airbending a mecha tank into the sky and atop a building. Korra runs over to Tenzins side "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine. Thank you, kids. Another moment later and I would have been on my way to Amon." He explains Rubbing his beard.

Mako gains your attention stuttering pointing out. "Uhhh, guys? Look."

Toph gets closer leaning in as you gasp. "What is it?" Air Temple Island is visible to you and you can see an Equalist airship hovering over the island.

"There after the island!" You explained grasping her hand in yours as Tenzins face turns pale white and lets out a Oh no.

You all get back to the island as quickly as you could before the attack. Tenzin looks apprehensively at his family as he struggles to find his words, you keep your eyes fixed on airships flying in to renew the attack on the island. "What do you want to do, Tenzin?" You ask not looking away.

Tenzin sighs. "I need to protect my family and get them as far away from this conflict as possible. If Amon got his hands on my children... I hate to even think of it. You all need to hide too"

Korra huffs. "I'm not giving up."

"I'm not asking you to. I sent word to the United Forces. They will be here soon. And once my family is safe, I will return. With the reinforcements, we can turn the tide in this war." He explains. You let your eyes fall back to the group around you.

You turn to Korra. "What Tenzin is saying is we need to be patient" you give Tenzin a sympathetic smile as you all embark To The courtyard. Where Three sky bison are bearing the airbenders, air acolytes, waiting to take off.

Tenzin hugs you and Korra. "Stay safe, you two"

"You too." You and Korra say together watching Tenzin let out a chuckle at your syncing. He jumps up to the bison. "Oogi, yip yip." And then he was gone.

You huffed seeing Two Equalist airships break away and begin following them.

But Another airship joins the attack on the island. Equalists descend on a zip line and confront the last of you. You're about to fight but a white lotus guard calls out to you all. "Go. We'll hold them off."

Korra turns to you all. "climb on!" You watch as they mount Naga. But there wasn't enough room for you but Korra wouldn't leave without you. However a guard throws your glider in your direction, catching it with ease you lift up from the ground following closely behind Naga.

Naga gallops off across the island below you as The Equalists and the sentries begin battling.
As Naga continues on, she plunges off a pier into the bay. You see Korra waterbending a protective bubble around them as Toph screams at the jump.
