A part of me felt relieved after telling Tsukishima what happened, it felt like a vital step I need to take in order for me to get better.

I watched silently, nervously, waiting for him to say something. Anything.
A singular tear rolled down his cheek, and it was followed by many more which continuously cascaded down his face.
"I'm so sorry..." he finally spoke, pulling me into an unexpected, tight hug.

After a few moments when I thought he would let go, he didn't. I was beginning to feel a bit suffocated, "Tsukishima..." I started.
"Sorry." he said, letting go of the tight grip he had on me.
"I'm not going anywhere, no need to grip so hard." I chuckled slightly.
A small smile formed on his face, "Good."

Eventually, I told Tsukishima about being adopted, and then unadopted due to the whole situation but he seemed to be more than okay with that.
"I think you should talk to your parents." he finally said, which slightly surprised me.
"Why?" I asked.
"When was the last time you spoke to them?"
"A few months ago."
"When was the last time you had a proper conversation with them?"

I thought for a moment, "A few years ago..."
"I mean there's no rush, but I think you should talk to them eventually." Tsukishima suggested, now laying down, facing me.
I just shrugged and laid next to him.

"Wanna watch something?" I asked.
"Is it volleyball related?" He asked back.
I mentally cursed, as I was thinking of watching matches that I had missed live and had to record.
"No..."
"Jeez, you really are the King of the court." he laughed.
"Shut up." I responded, rolling my eyes as the blonde continued to laugh at me.
"Fine let's watch your stupid volleyball." he gave in, putting a slight smile on my face as I proceeded to find the show.

It was getting late and Tsukishima hadn't left yet, I assumed he was planning on sleeping over.
Do I bring out the spare futon, or give him a guest room or.... is it too early to ask him to stay in my room? We aren't even dating yet...

I nudged him, "Tsukishima..." I spoke quietly.
"Mhm"
"Uh you look sleepy? Do you wanna go to bed?" I asked.
"Yeah." he replied, fully covering himself with the blanket and taking his glasses off, setting them on my bedside table.
Oh.

Do I sleep in the spare room? He looks comfy here, I'll let him sleep here.
I got up and switched off the light before opening my bedroom door.

"What are you doing?" Tsukishima mumbled from under the blanket.

I paused, "Uh... going to a spare room so that you can sleep here?"

Tsukishima turned to face me whilst still on the bed and tapped the space next to him, "You don't need to."

Oh

I made my way back to my bed and laid on my back next to Tsukishima rather awkwardly. There was plenty of space on the bed yet I squeezed myself into a thin log, remaining as still as a statue, so that Tsukishima would have more space in case he rolled in his sleep.

I silently stared at the ceiling whilst listening to his quiet, light breaths which somewhat relaxed me.

"King." Tsukishima suddenly spoke.
"Yeah?"

"Hold me?" he asked almost quiet enough for me not to hear what he said.

I turned on my side to face him and saw a few tears that had spilled down his cheeks. I simply nodded despite being in the dark, holding Tsukishima's head onto my chest with one hand and wrapping my other arm around his waist, allowing me to rub his back.

"Thankyou." he spoke quietly.
"You're welcome." I whispered back, before falling asleep shortly after.

The next morning I woke up to see Tsukishima across the room, fully dressed.
"You brought extra uniform?" I asked him.

"No I went home this morning before I made breakfast to get some extra stuff, including uniform and volleyball stuff.
"We don't have practice today, because the match is tomorrow..." I spoke, more in an asking manner than a telling manner, waiting for him to confirm that.
"Yeah I know but I also know that you and Hinata are gonna practice anyway so I was wondering if you wanted to practice together?" he asked.

"Hinata, you and I?" I asked back.

Tsukishima nodded apprehensively.
"Well yeah, sure I guess."
"Cool. Uh... you might wanna get ready now and eat before the food gets cold, we have to leave in 20 minutes or else we'll miss registration."

"What did you make?" I asked, feeling intrigued.
"You'll see. Go shower first!" Tsukishima spoke, yanking the duvet off of me, making my body temperature close to zero.

"Oi!" I yelled in frustration as all the hairs on my body stood up on end, "It's freezing..."

"Chop chop." Tsukishima said, clapping his hands, "If you aren't ready in 20 minutes I'm leaving without you."
I pouted as I stood up and he just laughed.

"Thankyou for the meal!" I said yet again, now after having finished what Tsukishima cooked.
"I didn't know you could cook." I added as I turned to him.
"My mother would force me and my brother to take turns in the cooking whenever she couldn't be bothered so I ended up learning loads of recipes and stuff." he replied casually.
"That sounds nice." I spoke, whilst I got up to go and wash my dish.
"It was chaotic." he shook his head.

My mind flicked back to when I had to learn how to cook by myself, but it was only because there were no parental figures there to help me.

I burnt so many dishes, and sometimes I had burnt all the food I had tried to make that day so I just ate it like that, thinking, 'this would be better if it weren't for it being burnt!' when really the meal being burnt probably hid the fact that the food tasted awful. Then the next day I would just give up and order food for the rest of the week, but I would be mad that I was gaining weight and proceed to not eat for the following week to balance it out. It was a sorry cycle of pure- "Kageyama!" the blonde before me shouted, eyes wide.

"What?" I asked, before feeling a stabbing sensation in my hands. I looked downwards and saw the soapy bubbles which were tinted red with my blood. Shards of glass were sprayed all over the sink and the counter and a few poked out of my palms.

"Fuck." I cursed, rinsing my injured hands quickly and opening multiple drawers looking for plasters.
"Sit down, you need plasters right? Tell me where they are and I'll get them okay?" Tsukishima said.
"Umm somewhere in one of the drawers, I can't remember which one." I responded quickly.

After being cleaned up by Tsukishima he asked, "Why were you gripping the glass hard enough for it to crack like that?"
I shrugged, "I don't know..."
