LILITH entered the training room with Issac the next morning and gathered with the other tributes. Lilith had laid in bed the night before coming up with a strategy to win. Her plan was to show off to the careers, gain alliances with them and then in the arena, slit their throats in their sleep.

Lilith stood tall as one of the instructors explained the rules. "In the next few days 23 of you will be dead and there would only be one victor. The gamemakers have changed it up a bit. Your diet will change from today and the training room, as you can see, is much larger than the usual ones. You will only have one chance at each station for each day. So make the most of it."

Once they were finished Lilith went off to the archery station deciding to do that first. She loaded the arrow before taking a deep breath.

She let the arrow fly and it hit the target dead centre and she smirked. A boy from district 2 came up to her, "Your aim is amazing."

"I know that," Lilith said firing another and another. She continued for another three arrows before putting the bow down and picking up the throwing knives that were next to them.

"I was wondering if you wanted to be allies." He said as Lilith whipped knives as a cut out of a man, all ending up in death ensured places.

"You're a career and you want to team up with me? Why?" Lilith asked sceptically as she kept throwing.

"From what I can see you're good. I'm Orion by the way." He said.

For the first time, Lilith stopped got a good look at him. He was quite thin with a pointed nose and bright brown eyes. Lilith looked at him from head to toe and back up to his head. "You know what? Sure. Why not. I'm going to see what other weapons there are I'm already good at these." Lilith walked away from the lanky boy and towards a rack that had small baton-like weapons on it.

Lilith picked up one and stared at it for a moment. One of the trainers came up to her.

"Squeeze it." She said. Lilith did as told and the small baton shot up into a katana.

"We upgraded them from a few years ago. Made it compact, and now they don't conduct electricity. There's a station over there with electronic dummies where you can test it out." The woman said pointing to a room before walking off. Lilith went over to the room and opened the door.

She noticed a tablet next to the door to set targets. She swiftly typed in what she wanted and stood in the middle of the room.

Lilith looked around twirling the sword in her hands and saw an electronic orange man coming at her. She quickly pivoted, struck him and he fell into blocks.

Lilith smiled seeing another coming. She kept killing the orange men until an announcement echoed around saying she had killed all of them. She kept practising for a while and eventually turned towards the viewing window to see she had gathered a crowd and her mouth curved into a smirk as she exited the room.

"Good job, that was amazing. I heard the careers talking they said they want you on their team," Issac stated.

"Good," Lilith walked off to hand-to-hand combat and started sparring with a trainer.

The first day of training had gone well and now Lilith was seated on the roof staring at the Capitol. She thought about how she would kill people in the next few days and how she could potentially die.

The elevator chimed and Lilith spun around finding the blond-haired victor she had spoken to yesterday.

"Hi, Lilith. I didn't know you would be up here," Finnick said as his blue eyes reflected the city lights.

"Yeah, I came here to watch the view. Not really much of one from my floor."

"It's fine I do the same," Finnick replied sitting next to her. They sat in silence for a moment before Finnick spoke up, "I heard from some of the trainers that you did well today. They said some of the tributes were worried about your skill level."

Lilith laughed, "I guess. I mean it wasn't that hard, half the tributes have no clue what they're doing. But to be honest it's all for show."

"What do you mean?"

"My strategy is to be allied with the careers, then kill them in their sleep," Lilith shrugged, "And if you tell anyone that, I'll kill you." Lilith threatened.

"I won't I promise," Finnick swore.

"Well, I should probably get to bed. I'll see you when I win Finnick," a light smirk rested on her face and arose from her spot on the ground.

"Yeah."

She re-entered the elevator and went back to her floor.
