Wolffe woke up without the alarms blaring into his ears or the yells of soldiers throughout the ship. He woke as the sun made its way through the curtains of his and Thea's apartment, he glanced down at the naked body next to him and smiled softly. A smile so rare that only one person in the galaxy sees it. He listened to her even breathing and watched her back extend with her breaths, her shoulder rising and falling. He turned on his side and pulled her back into his chest before burying his head into her shoulder, she hummed quietly while he inhaled deeply, almost memorizing the way she smelt before his arm looped around her causing her to roll into him. He felt her smaller hand draw circles on his wrist while her eyes began to flutter open. She turned in his embrace and smiled softly at him and buried her head into his chest, feeling the rise and fall of the content sigh. He felt the tickles of her eyelashes brush against his chest before she looked up at him.

"What are you thinking about, my love?" she questioned him tiredly.

"You." and it was true, his entire life the Kaminoans bred him for war, for no feelings but the one of winning, loss, and misery. A purpose - to protect and attack. He had never felt the love of another person, compassion, or worry, yet as he looked at the woman lying beside him, he couldn't help but disregard everything. To wish to run away with her, away from the way, the pain, the danger. His face contorted into one of confusion as he thought about it all: how had this woman so easily snuggled into his heart? To him it was simple, he had heard stories about her from the Coruscant Guard. How she handled things, how she cared for people, how she was ethereal. The first time he met her he could almost feel the goodness and purity radiating off her, leaking into him and prodding at his walls. Walls that so easily crumbled when she smiled at him, when she cried in his arms when her laughter drowned out every noise. He focused on how he felt in her arms, in her embrace. He felt safe - something clones almost never felt. Something his brothers are so foreign to, but as he lay in bed with her he could only think about the future, their future. She was everything to him and had he not been a soldier, a clone. He could have run away with her, married her, had a family with her. He didn't even know if she wanted that if she would say yes, let her be the one to carry his children. Would she?

A small giggle brought him back to look at her before he smirked at her and kissed the top of her head.

"Why do you look like you're contemplating your life decisions?" she asked breathlessly.

"What if I asked you to marry me?" he asked and her head froze. She would say yes, of course she would, but could she lie about it to others, something so big and important. She had seen her parents' marriage, they loved each other but they weren't in love. She knew she was in love with the man whose arms wrapped around her but she couldn't help but think that somehow it would ruin everything. Everyone she cared about for a long period of time was gone: her parents, Dooku, her brother and her had a rocky relationship. And what if he died? Could she live knowing that he would be gone? That she wouldn't be able to sleep in the same bed, have anyone else share the bed with her. Could she take that risk?

"I'm afraid of losing you," she replied simply.

"You will never lose me," he assured her sadly.

"You could die. Any battle, you could die. And I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Wolffe, I love you. Force, I love you so much that I would die without you." she told him breathlessly.

"Would you say yes or no?" he asked again.

"Yes."
