The mortal world is at peace. Days pass by eventlessly. But one day...
Hey everyone, I just felt that I should touch upon a few things before uploading the next chapter.
First off, the Chinese/Pinyin terms of address. I'll give a rough sketch of each pinyin term used here:
Xiongzhang = older brother [respectful term – explains why only Lan Wangji uses it 😁]
Xiongdi = younger brother [formal, again, explains why Xichen uses it. The Prim and Proper Jades.]
Gege* = older brother [more informal and personally, cute – especially the way Sizhui says Xian-gege]
Didi* = younger brother [just like Gege, informal and cuter]
Jiejie* = elder sister
Meimei* = younger sister
*You can also use 'ge', 'di', 'mei' or 'jie' alone, as short forms/abbreviations. Like "Xichen-ge" and "Yanli-mei".
Shushu = uncle [father's younger brother]
Shufu = uncle [also father's younger brother, but seemingly, more formal]
Jiujiu = uncle [mother's brother]
Shishu = uncle [Senior Uncle, also Martial Uncle – for Jin Ling, his mother's Junior Brother and his Jiujiu's Senior Brother = Wei Wuxian, hence the earlier Wei Shishu]
Shifu = Master/Teacher [old Mr Goatee Qiren]
Shijie = Senior Sister
FYI, there's also Shixiong [Senior Brother] and Shidi [Junior Brother] – Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng respectively. But I decided to stick to the English terms, to make life easier for you all.
Sizhui's Father and Daddy are probably Fuqin and Diedie in Chinese [the first being formal, respectful, and the latter, much more informal and sweeter].
So... yes, I believe this is it!
OH, YES, THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE.
The prefix "A-" in front of a name, is used to indicate endearment. An affectionate way to call your dear ones is sometimes also done by doubling the second character of their name. Like how Yanli calls Wei Wuxian 'Xianxian' when acts childishly. Plus, Jingyi's nickname: 'Yiyi'.

Also, another thing. I've continued this story from the ending of the live-action drama, but there's one small thing here in upcoming Chapter 10 that is from the donghua [anime]. 🥁 But I won't say anything, since I'll be writing it in such a way that those who are new to it will still fully understand. Just more suspense!
