I hate talking to people
I stare at all of their vulnerabilities
Get tired listening, but too nervous to talk
I hate talking to people

And I hate when you don't know
If the up-and-down is for you or your clothes
Speed-walk back to the car
And rush to open your sugar support

When did the outside become so hostile?
Like the end of the world made us crueler
Maybe we just got too safe at home
Forgot what being perceived was like

The comfort of voices can be too much
Sometimes I sit outside and watch the chicken cross the road
Used to be 7, now only one
Maybe they got too comfortable here too

I want to go home, but where is home?
Lost my mom in the store but she never came back
Dad gave me the keys, left the engine idling
Gotta learn how to live my own life now
