I yawned once the movie finished. "It couldn't have been that bad" America snickered. "Mhm" I hummed not really listening.

"You tired?" I replied with a nod. "Let's get you to bed then" "I can do it myself.." "But you don't have much of a choice, trust me, I don't wanna tug you in, you're grown enough to do it yourself" "No shit" I mumbled, getting up from the couch.

I went upstairs into the bathroom, and decided to brush my teeth's. I glanced at America next to me, then to the mirror in-front of me. Sometimes it's scary not seeing his reflection knowing it's there.

Not long ago we were having an argument in here, and I noticed how crazy I looked glaring at the air. Since then I've tried to prevent arguing with America. There has to be another solution right?

There should be a reason that he ain't dead, right? And why exactly was it me he was stuck with? Why not that Japan guy.

I spat the Toothpaste out, and cleaned my face. I placed my toothbrush down in the glass at the corner of the sink.

"You seem oddly quiet, what are you thinking about..?" America asked, his tone had a hint of curiosity. I turned the lights off, and made my way to my room.

"You" I slurred not really in the mood to talk to him, I'm too tired.

"Awwe, really? That's so cute, is it not? I think about you too, too often to be honest" He flew in-front of me, and gave me a warm smile. For some reason my cheeks started to get hot, so I did what any sane person would do, and clap my cheeks.

"You good?" He tilted his head. "Yeah, just trying to stay awake" I lied. He seemed to have bought it since he paid no mind to it.

I went over to my night stand, and plugged my phone into the charger. "Mind turning around?" I asked. He simply just turned around without another word.

I started to getting undressed, and went over the closet to pick out some loose shorts to sleep in.

I felt myself getting more tired once I had them on. 'Too much work' I internally whined.

"You can turn around now"

Which he did.

"Don't make to much noise while I sleep, thanks" and with that, I got under the covers and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I woke up to the sound of a bang. I quickly made my way out of bed and grabbed my safety dagger.

I cautiously tip toed downstairs, I heard another loud bang, it came from the kitchen. I quickly made my way there, turning the lights on in an instant.

But what I saw shocked me "America?" I stood there with wide eyes, taking in the view.

"Sorry, just wanted to make breakfast to you for once" He apologised.

"No, not that. Look at you!" I pointed at him. "What?" "You're holding a spoon in your hand. What can't you do normally unless it's full moon dipshit?!" "Oh my gosh, no way" He began to smile widely.

"Oh my gosh, no way!" He repeated, just louder. "I have a body" He smiled even wider, if that's even possible.

I only had one question in my mind. "Why though?" "What?" "I'm just confused of why, that's all" I said tapping my food against the ground, totally not flipping out over the fact that he's standing right in-front of me, in person.

"I don't know either, but who cares?!" He began to laugh, most likely out of insanely happiness.

Once the laughter died down, we couldn't help but just stare at each other. "Thanks you for being my host and everything" He smiled at me, taking a step closer to me.

"You're welcome" I went over for a hug, but he stopped me immediately. "What?" I asked confused. "Please put your dagger down" He placed his hand on my chest, and smiled nervously.

That single touch, made wires that felt like a sweet electric pulse, but ended with giving me goosebumps. "Oh yeah, totally forgot about that" I chuckled nervously, feeling my cheeks get all warm and fuzzy again.

I threw the dagger down onto the floor, and pulled America in for a hug. It took him a while to hug back, but eventually, he did.

"I can't even explain of how much of dreamt of doing this" America smiled into my chest. "You don't dream" "stop ruining the mood, y'know what I meant" He laughed, his hot breath hitting my neck. I felt a shiver go down my spine.

"I guess I've thought of hugging you once or twice before, I'll admit that" I shrugged, giving him a soft smile.

After a while, he pulled away. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that it had to end, don't know why though. Probably because one of my only friends is real now, and I've never been able to be in his embrace.

I could already feel the lingering of his warmth, but it was slowly fading. "So you do think about me" He smiled teasingly. "I said once or twice" "Sure, we can pretend that" He chuckled.

I rubbed my neck where his breath hit earlier, whilst staring at him. I looked him up and down. He had some nice blank jeans, and a purple hoodie on the the sleeves rolled up. 'I'll admit, he wasn't the worst looking ghost'

"..Can I.." I rubbed the back of his neck, looking to the side. I noticed a tint of blush on his cheeks. "Can... May I hug you again...?" He asked, now looking at me. 'He's asking for consent to hug me?' "Yeah, you may hug me" I half mocked him.

'I'm kind of glad that he asked, even though I found it ridiculous for a hug, when I've known him for years'

He then pulled me in for a hug, but before I could hug back, I woke up in my bed devastated.
