The rising sun shone down gently, giving everything an ethereal, golden glow. Porco groaned and looked down to where you were sleeping by his side, your arms wrapped around one of his.

Ten days ago. He'd only met you ten days ago and yet he was comfortable with you to the point where it was like he knew you from five years ago.

But he knew almost nothing about you. He had no idea why you were anxious about being left alone sometimes, why your personality could do complete flips but for the first time he felt himself be intrigued. He wanted to know why. He wanted to know every little thing about you and all the things he could do to make your life easier.

He wanted to comfort you when you felt the walls were caving in and you couldn't escape from your own mind, he wanted to hold you to keep the bad dreams away, he wanted to whisper sweet, reassuring words into your ears and to tell you that you're so incredibly kind, talented and amazing.

He sighed and pulled you closer to his chest.

For now it was enough to just protect you like this.
