I just sit there crying, Gray also across me crying too. The news Lucy just gave us tore out our hearts. How could we be so naive.

FLASHBACK

"Lucy, if it is too hard for you to say you don't have to tell us" I tell the crying Lucy

"No, because you are going to find out sooner or later. Damn, my life has changed so much since I came back to Fairy Tail" Lucy says to herself

"Lucy, what's going on?" Gray asks

"It all started when I left Fairy Tail" Lucy began "I met a sun dragon name Youko. She trained me, and so did all the other dragons. While training, I had a couple of encounters with Zeref. At first I was on defense, and skeptical of him. But as I saw him more I began being comfortable around him. We started having a connection with each other. Things just started going from there. I finished my training and wanted to return to Fairy Tail. Zeref was furious and didn't approve of it. I left anyways, but when I did he told me there will be consequences"

I was baffled and confused all at the same time. I look over to Gray, and obviously I wasn't the only one feeling this way. So Lucy and Zeref used to be a thing!? Not to change the subject or anything. But doesn't that make Zeref a pedophile?

And when Lucy became of age, he's so old! He has to be at least like 5 or more centuries old! Talk about an outrageous age difference!

Anyways back to the real issue.

"Wait, but I don't understand. How does all of that go with this situation?" I ask and Gray nods in agreement

"While I was spending time with Zeref, his dark magic found its way into my immune system. The only way for me to survive was too get the antidote from here. And the reason I was gone for so long was because of that. And so when I returned my condition got worse. So I needed to return to here. I can't go back there. I am stuck here for the rest of my life. And because of that I have to marry. But the thing is I don't want to marry anyone but one person. I don't want to be any one else's, just his" Lucy says

"Who is 'him' exactly"Gray asks

"Gray at points like this, I swear you are dumber then Natsu" I say disappointed

"What did I do!" He yells at me hurt

"It's Natsu you freakin dense idiot. Lucy doesn't want anyone else other than Natsu" I explain to Gray

"Anyways, back to the topic. Does that mean that you can only be free of the magic here?" I ask

"No, I still have the condition. And because I have black magic inside my system it is killing me from inside" Lucy says while looking at the ground crying

"What do you mean" I ask scared for the answer

"It doesn't matter which world I am in. I am dying Erza, and the is no cure. I have no idea how much longer I have to live. But my condition is getting worse, to the point where I need to be medicated every hour" Lucy informed us

"But don't you have a cure?" I ask

"Yes there is a cure" Lucy tells us

"That's Great! You can use that and come back with us" Gray says happily

"Wrong, I'm not taking that cure"

"What do you mean! Lucy if you get cured everything will go back to normal" Gray informs Lucy

"Getting the cure mean marrying Zeref. I'd rather die knowing that I still am in love with my one and only love. Then to die marrying someone that I don't even love" Lucy says

"Lucy. . ." I say softly
