Ridley pushed through the lab and crossed his arms. "Any results yet?"
"Um... We're not sure... We don't have anyone to test it on, sir," Nate explained awkwardly.
Ridley sat down. "Test it on me."
The scientists' eyes widened as they exchanged concerned looks.
"But-" Nate began.
"I am being serious... If I know what it feels like, I will make sure our enemies suffer and are completely powerless. If we tested it on anyone else, there's the potential for lies," Ridley stated plainly. "So, do it."
Nate hesitated for a moment then nodded. "Okay..."
He got out a handful of anti and tossed it on Ridley.
Ridley blinked for a moment then winced, rubbing his head.
"Try teleporting," Nate prompted.
Ridley nodded slightly, trying before flickering and falling out of the chair.
Nate ran over. "Are you okay?"
Ridley nodded weakly. "...I'm hanging in there... This is perfect, Nate... We have to use this on Grant. I need a way to give it to them with touching it though."
Nate nodded. "Of course... Move him to an observation room and monitor vitals!"
Some scientists carried Ridley off.
Nate began working on a way for Ridley to use it on others. He didn't exactly love the idea of anti, but Ridley had always been on his side and encouraged his science - even when the government tried to pull funding. Ridley and the Empire had enemies, and as a citizen of Elysia, it was his duty to help Ridley and the Emperor achieve their goals.
