Jasyn watched Lenova, Jupiter's capital city, burn from the lightning he had inflicted. Ashes of buildings were lining the streets from his destruction. People were screaming, crying, and running around while some were lying still.
Nick appeared. "Okay, I'm ba-" He froze, taking in the sight. "Dad...? What happened?"
Jasyn snapped out of his anger and looked at Nick. Nick looked at him in shock as if he were a monster. The sadness and hurt in his eyes broke him.
"I..." Jasyn began then sighed. "...I went too far. I'm sorry."
"Don't just stand there! We have to help them!" Nick said, dropping his things and hurrying off.
Jasyn blinked then nodded, following quietly. They worked together to stop the fires and get the wounded to the hospital.

After a few hours, they had done all they could. Nick hadn't said a word to him since they got back home. He had given him one last disapproving glance then went to his room to cry. Jasyn listened to him cry for a few minutes, trying not to cry too, then shuffled off to his room. He shut the door quietly and leaned against it, rubbing his head. He was a monster. He was...absolutely terrible... He didn't deserve Jupiter, Nick, or anything. He shouldn't have this amount of power. But what could he do? He couldn't just die and leave Nick alone... No, he had a better idea. He'd get rid of the bad part of himself.

Two guys were in the room now. They eyed each other warily.
"Did it work?" Jaxyn asked quietly.
"I think so," Skyler replied. "How do you feel?"
"Like you should shut up," Jaxyn replied, annoyed.
"Then it definitely worked," Skyler said, smiling sheepishly.
Jaxyn rolled his eyes and walked off. "Whatever."

Skyler stood and stretched. He felt incredible. He had all the good and all the power and skills. This was amazing.

Jaxyn shuffled out onto the balcony and looked at the aftermath of the destruction. He did that. Skyler got to pretend he was innocent while he took all the blame. It wasn't fair. He felt the lack of strength immediately. His knowledge was filtered too. Why should he have to take all the punishment? It wasn't fair.
