"Hello, Gracelyn," Claude greeted. "Please, join us."
Austin grinned at Grace then took a seat.
Grace smiled and sat beside Austin. "Thank you... I appreciate being allowed a visit."
"Are we sure she's related to Cloud?" Zelda mumbled.
Devon gave Zelda a look.
Grace smiled sheepishly. "Cloud is...um... He was a bit intense. The others said he liked me, but..."
"The power got to his head," Claude explained, shaking his head. "I'm sure it must have been difficult dealing with Cloud and Ambros. Yet that's what surprises me... Years ago, when Austin was only a child, Cloud wanted you to deal with Austin since he was on Mythos turf. You risked so much to return him to us."
Austin smiled at Grace. "She and Soren were very kind to me while I was in their dimension."
Grace shook her head and smiled. "It was worth the risks... It's so nice to see him again. I was telling him on the way here how tall he was now."
Devon smiled and ruffled Austin's hair. "He is..."
Austin laughed and fixed his hair. "Daaad, come on..."
"That brings me to my point... Do you know why the Mythos run reality?" Claude asked.
Grace thought for a moment then shook her head. "No, I don't think I ever heard the story..."
"Many families exist throughout unreality who can affect reality... Before that, Cloud and I were among the first ones. With the power to create, all of us built the worlds you see now. After the framework existed, our job was complete... Or so we thought. We enjoyed the worlds we created and built our own homes and territories in unreality..."
Grace nodded occasionally, listening closely.
"After a while, we met the master of unreality and the realities we created... Anaya. Cloud and I fell headfirst for her after our first meeting," Claude chuckled. "She's...incredible... Anyway, we all wanted to get her attention. Cloud and I teamed up, and we and our oldest children became the leaders of the reality manipulators. Our families, the Legendari and Mythos families, had a monopoly on unreality and reality. We managed it all."
"What happened to change that?" Grace asked, surprised.
"Well... We succeeded in getting Anaya's attention. She... Well... She and I fell in love. Cloud was devastated. So he pulled in the Muse family, the inspirations of the dimensions we created. Al decided that since Anaya and I were in love that Cloud's family would rule reality... He revoked our control to the dimensions we had created and managed for his family. In a way, maybe it was fair... But with two of his eldest twins, Ambros and Merle, he pushed us back to this corner of unreality. We built this together... And after everything, we became enemies."
Grace frowned. "Wow... That's terrible... But... If Anaya was over both planes of existence, how did grandpa push you back?"
"Anaya doesn't like to interfere... Besides which, she was away when it happened. Cloud made sure of it. She wasn't always around... Anyway, we...well, we broke up eventually... Anyway, the Legendari family lost everything due to my feud with Cloud..."
Grace frowned. "I see..." She thought for a moment then glanced at the others before glancing back at Claude. "...Claude, Cloud isn't in power anymore. I'm sure my uncles and Aunt Ariana would be open to re-negotiation."
"He left his empire to them?" Kali asked, surprised. "I bet Ambros and Merle aren't happy..."
"D-...Ambros...was exiled by Cloud... He, um... Tried to destroy me and a dimension..." Grace explained. "And um...I'm not sure about Merle... He has caused some trouble, I think? But I don't know too much about it... I mostly stay in one dimension."
"Ambros is out of the picture?" Kali asked, exchanging a look with Devon.
"He is," Grace agreed.
"This has been informative," Kali commented, leaning back in her seat and smiling to herself.
"...I will give them a chance, if they will speak with me," Claude stated.
"I'll tell Uncle Zeus," Grace replied, smiling. "I really hope we can work this out. This feud stuff is overrated."
Claude laughed slightly. "That is true... I hope we can put this to rest."
Austin grinned at Grace. "Can we tell him together?"
Grace smiled and shook her head slightly. "Uncles Zeus, Maze, and Aunt Ariana wouldn't do anything, but the others might not be too friendly yet... Let me talk to him first, okay?"
"Okay... Can I meet him though eventually?" Austin asked.
Grace laughed and smiled, nodding. "I hope so... If you'll excuse me. It was nice to meet you all."
She nodded in respect and disappeared.
"If this diplomacy thing doesn't work out... We can take them. No Ambros or Cloud? Easy target," Kali commented.
Devon shook his head. "I hope it doesn't come to that..."
"I hope it doesn't either," Claude frowned. "But something has to change...one way or another."
