VAUGHN sighed and stood straight.

"I understand if you don't like my daughter, sir." Anito. "I've talked to ma'am Leticia and sir Frederic to stop the agreement but they still want to pursue it. They liked my daughter for you."

"But I don't like Willa Jenica—" he stopped. "I'm sorry." "Look uncle, you're a good person and I thank you for saving my life. But... I cannot marry your daughter. I don't..." Huminga siya ng malalim. "I cannot see my life with her." Tumango siya. "Willa Jenica is a good daughter, I see that, but... I don't want her to waste her life with me. We will both living in miserable if that'll happen."

"I don't want my daughter to live a miserable life, sir. She's too precious for me, she's all that I have after her mother's death. I love her so much."

"We need to talk."

"Why don't you take a sit, son?" Nakataas kilay na anang ina niya.

"Thanks, but I don't have plan to stay long here."

"You indecent man! Why are you being like that?!" Namumulang sabi ng kanyang ina.

Tumaas ang sulok ng labi niya. "Why don't you ask each other, maybe you know the answer." He said sarcastically.

"Honey enough. Calm down." "I want you to take a sit, son. Let's talk about you and Willa Jenica."

Kumuyom ang kamao ni Vaughn; his jaw clenched.

"Fvck this shit! Why don't you leave me alone? This is crazy!" Aniya at umiling-iling. "Stop being an old-school mom, dad! Enough with your stupid idea—"

"You're getting older—" said his mom.

"So what?" He hissed.

"We want you to settle down with the woman we knew. She's good enough to be your wife Vaughn. She's a good person, she can be a good mother to your children."

His forehead creased. "Huh! This is absurd!"

"Listen, Vaughn!"

"No, mom! You listen! What do you think of me? A kid that would easily comply what you had told me? Huh! Funny it is." Sigaw niya pabalik.

"You have no gratitude! Bernard saved you when you were young!"
