"You mean this girl?" Jennie was pointing on Chaeyoung's phone screen. She was looking carefully at the photo.

Chaeyoung nodded happily "Aha, she's one of my colleague. We're not really that close but.." she looked at Jennie and saw the interest on the girl's eyes "..but she's pretty, right?"

Jennie's face brightened, she smiled while staring at the photo "Yeah, she is" she nodded and bit her lower lip "but is she.." she paused finally looking back at the girl "..also looking for a girlfriend?" she asked cautiously.

Chaeyoung chuckled, her best friend was being all shy and cute "Yes she is, I saw her recently on a dating app. She's like.. everywhere" Chaeyoung laughed.

Jennie poured the freshly brewed coffee on a cup, preparing for Jisoo's arrival. She was hoping that the girl comes in early today, she have missed her. She hasn't receive any text back when she messaged her last night which made Jennie very anxious. It was a simple goodnight text with a wink. Was it too much? Was last day too much? But Jisoo was smiling and even kissed her back? Was Jisoo just acting all nice?

She heaved a sign and turned around facing the outside to place the cup of coffee on a vacant tray.

"Looking gloomy today, aren't we?" Jisoo was in front of her, crossed arms and a teasing smirk. She took the coffee from Jennie's tray and took a sip, tasting the pure coffee without breaking their eye contact.

Jennie wasn't the one drinking but she gulped hard when she saw Jisoo. She haven't had her coffee this morning yet but her heart was already beating too fast as if she's palpitating.

Jisoo signed, holding the coffee in front of her "Can I have this?" she asked, seeking for Jennie's approval.

Jennie pursed her lips and nodded quickly, Jisoo had no idea that the coffee was really for her. The girl smiled again before leaving her dumbfounded in the counter. The door caused a chime, indicating that Jisoo already went outside and Jennie immediately took a peak on her. Something's wrong with Jisoo.

She was smiling, but her eyes were sad. It was swollen.

Jennie prepared a coffee for herself and went straight to Jisoo, she was bothered by the girl's look today, and she have questions to ask. She also told herself that she will make it a routine to do this, because why not? She likes Jisoo.

But does Jisoo like her? Or was she only a comfort zone for the girl? She kept wondering.

Jisoo didn't even bother to look at Jennie when the girl sat beside her, she was only focusing on her laptop and coffee. For the very first time, Jennie felt awkward around Jisoo. She was sipping her own coffee nervously, afraid that Jisoo would snap at her any minute. The girl's aura was really really different. But she knew that Jisoo was trying. She's trying to be friendly when she showed up this morning with a smile.

Finally, she heard something from Jisoo. A very long and heavy sign, she doesn't know what happened but it sounded like Jisoo was really exhausted.

"Are you okay?" Jennie asked in a monotonous voice, she doesn't want to sound concerned even though she is. She thought Jisoo doesn't like pushy and desperate girls. She took another sip of coffee without looking at her.

Jisoo dropped her back on the sit, slightly slouching, she looked down sadly before speaking "Chaeyoung," she started, Jennie turned to her attentively "she's.." Jisoo stopped, she was hesitating, Jennie was Chaeyoung's best friend.

"She's what Jisoo?" Jennie asked impatiently "Have you two already talked?"

Jisoo nodded with frowning mouth, she was still cute, making Jennie a little calmer "But it didn't end up well" she continued "she locked herself in the room, and I don't know how to talk with her anymore"

Jennie was a little confused, why would Chaeng be that sad? She and Lisa are free now, right? They should be happy, all four of them should be happy by now.

"I— sorry I don't quite understand" Jennie stuttered confusingly, hoping that the latter would tell more.

Jisoo signed again, should she tell Jennie? Won't she feel betrayed? Chaeyoung is her best friend. She groaned and placed her elbows on the table, burying her face on her palms frustratingly.

"Chaeyoung, she.." her voice was echoing and muffled, Jennie really wished Jisoo would just face her, but the girl looked embarrassed "she.. she likes me Jen"

Jennie acted a little surprised but she didn't know if she heard it right "She what?!" Jennie repeated, leaning closer to Jisoo.

"She likes me!" Jisoo finally came out of her hands, her whole face was blushing, but because of the force of her hands. Jennie pulled back in surprise, hands on chest.

"Are you sure?" Jennie twitched one side of her face, she doesn't know how to feel. She knew that Chaeng have a little crush on Jisoo, I mean, everyone does. But she didn't expect it to be that serious.

Jisoo nodded exhaustedly, she was touching her temple, staring back at nowhere. Jennie did the same, she can't believe her best friend didn't told her that.

After a little while of silence, Jennie's eyes slowly turned to Jisoo. Another question was prompting "D-do.. do you like her too?"

Jisoo slapped the table loudly, surprising Jennie again "Oh come on Jen!" she snapped, rolling her head, she sounded really done "She's my friend! A dear friend, for goodness sake" she turned to Jennie frowning. But when her gaze fell on the latter's features, her own face slowly softened.

Seeing Jennie's face calmed her "I— I already like someone else" she whispered, shyly turning away from Jennie.

"Ah— I'm sorry, that was insensitive" Jennie answered awkwardly. No hint that Jisoo was blushing. She doesn't wanna assume that she is the one that Jisoo's talking about, the girl never told her   that anyway.

Jisoo heaved a sign and took a peak on the pouting mandu, she chuckled. She felt lighter inside. She knew that coming to this cafe is the right decision. Jennie was her stress reliever. No one else is.

She reached to grab Jennie's hand and cupped it, and when Jennie met her gaze, she smiled at her genuinely, she wanted to make Jennie feel how glad she is to have the girl in her life right now "I'm sorry too, I snapped" she chuckled "I mean, who wouldn't?" Jennie was drawing a smile again. Jisoo is crazy, and she loves how fast the girl could make her heart soft in an instant.

"So.." Jennie looked down on their hands and brushed it "what's your plan?"

Jisoo's gaze fell on their hands too, her face shifted to sad again, but not as sad as before "I don't Jen, I'm even afraid of going home at my own place, I don't know how to confront her" faking a laugh.

"Hey," she caressed the girl's shoulder with her free hand "how about you stay at my place for a while?" Jennie offered.

Jisoo looked at her surprisingly "Are you sure?" Jennie nodded with a smile, making Jisoo scoffed "that's great Jen" she pulled the girl for a hug.

"Don't bother getting your things, we have the same size anyway" Jennie chuckled, hugging Jisoo more tightly.

Jisoo smirked "How about toothbrush? Am I gonna share it with you too?" she answered with a tease, earning a smack on her back "Aww! I'm just kidding!" they both laughed, not breaking their connection.
