~The Fast Lane~

The weather is horrible and it's freezing cold. Kate sat down underneath the roof at the gas station, some people stopped and asked what's up... Kate didn't know how to answer and told them: everything is fine, I'm waiting for a friend.

Kate didn't call anyone, she didn't know who to call. Charles probably has a busy schedule and Max? I think it's worse for him. If I call Charles, he'll be worried. Kate scrolls through her phone. Jason did send her some messages after the argument but they're rude.

It makes her sick. Kate looks around and sees lots of cars passing by. A woman with her daughter bought some snacks for in the car. Snacks? Not a bad idea. Kate gets up from her spot and entered the gas station. She looks around and sees different kind of shelves. Souvenirs, canned food, drinks and of course snacks. Kate walks over to the M&M's and fills a bucket with different colours.

Kate also goes for a bag of natural chips. Kate finishes with looking around and goes to the cashier. She lays her stuff down and gets her card. The old man behind the counter, scans her stuff. '6 euros bitte.' Kate shows her card. Kate typed her code and clicks on enter. 'Tchüss.' She says and leaves with her stuff.

Kate hears her phone ringing, she looks in her pocket and takes it out. Charles! She feels relieved and she takes the call.

'Hi.'
'Where are you?'
'At a gas station.'
'Why? You know that your supposed to be here already. Renault won't be happy with you being late.'

'I know, I feel terrible. I umm found out that Jason cheated. You where right, he told me heks been cheating on me for almost a year. So I told him about you and how I feel. He went mad and left me here at some gas station.' Kate says, speaking to Charles makes her feel better...

'Can you send me your location?' He questions.
'Charles no, I can find my own way. You have important things to do and I don't want to waste your time.'
'Don't worry. Just send me your location.'
'Ok and thanks.'

Kate sends him her location. After ten minutes a grey car shows up and sounds like a sports car. Might be Charles. it's a Ferrari and Kate feels great again. The Ferrari stops beside her and Kate grabs her stuff of the ground. Charles gets out of the car. It's a relief for her. He's all in red. He takes her stuff from Kate's hands.

'Thanks.' He puts her stuff in the trunk. 'Are you ok?' He questions and he looks at Kate. 'Yea, I'm fine.' Kate isn't fine and she feels horrible. She hopes Charles falls for it. He keeps staring at her. 'Your not.' 

Kate smiles at him trying to get away with it. 'I get it.' This guy has so much influence on her. Her heart is easing again. 'Can we please go?'Kate begged and Charles walks towards her. Kate feels hands around her waist. Charles pulls her in for a hug. Kate feels tears and she hugs him back. Charles let's go of her and opens the passenger door for her. 'Let's go.'

She gets into the Ferrari, waits for Charles to enter the car and drive off. Charles joined and started the engine. 'One thing Kate, Renault isn't happy.' He says and drives off. 'I get them and I feel so sorry.'  Charles laughs. 'It's not really your fault.'
