Catra put the keys in their hole and turned them, unlocking the green door.
With another deep breath and shaky hands, she opened it and stepped in.

She first saw a corridor, with a sliding door on the left and a puzzle of mirrors on the right wall.
She curiously opened the door and found the bathroom, surprisingly spacious, with a window on the entrance, right under the stairs to go to the other house.
She then kept walking and found a big open space, with a kitchen as long as all the left wall, a small table to eat, a tv over a small console, a couch big enough for three people and a couple of bean bags in the corner.
All the fornitures were light and neutral, with colourful touches only brought by accessories and the only windows were high stripes of glass at the upper side of the walls.
It made sense, considering the appartament was partly underground, but it was still a little odd.
Fortunately the artificial lamps provided all the light necessary.
Catra then reached the end of the corridor, seeing a desk with a chair and another sliding door.
She opened it and found herself in the bedroom.
This was the most personalised and lived room.
There was another desk with a chair, underneath some training tools were badly hidden and above it there were a couple of shelves, one filled with books and on the other were displayed various framed photos.

At least four them were of Adora and herself, which surprised Catra a lot since she didn't know they existed.
Then there was Adora with a boy and a girl wearing military uniforms. Another with a big gang of people, between whom she recognised Entrapta, a friend of Scorpia.
The last photo was of Adora, an old lady and another woman, not much older then them. They had to be Madame Razz and Mara...how to erase the names of the people who stole the blonde from her.
Well, she now felt a little sorry, since Angella said that Mara was dead, but still.

Next to the desk there was a very long wardrobe and on the other side of the room there were two single beds, one with red sheets and colourful pillows, the other with maroon sheets and a cat peluche.

How dumb of Adora.

Both their bedside tables had a small lamp, but the blonde's also had some forgotten socks, a canteen and another photo holder Catra had seen at Tiger, filled with instax of various people and her.

For real, where the hell did Adora take those photos?

The brunette huffed and couldn't help herself from looking in her drawer.
There were snacks, pills to sleep, earphones, a vibrator, a pack of tissues and the Swiss knife she gave her for her sixteenth birthday.
She was relived the blonde hadn't lost it, it really costed her a lot of money.

Catra sighed again and set on Adora's neat bed, taking her pillow and holding it to her chest.
It had her scent.

So...what did it all mean? Did Adora want Catra back in her life? Did she want the blonde back? Was this a fantasy? What was Adora thinking?
How would they react if they met again?
Was Catra supposed to forgive her? Yet, she never received that letter...why Adora didn't come back? Did she ever really sent it? Maybe Angella didn't know.

The brunette squeezed the pillow and then put it back to stand up and take a change.
She went in the bathroom to have a shower.
She was supposed to have lunch.
Once dried and dressed, she went to the kitchen, finding it almost empty, except for a can of tuna and pasta.
She could work with that.
Adora had never been a great chef, so Catra started wondering if she had been living of salads, pasta and take away or had actually started learning.
The brunette thought of checking all the the cabinets and finally found them: Adora's favourite nachos.
She smirked and opened them, while putting the pot filled with water and salt on the cooker.

If the blondie wanted back in her life, she would have had to buy more nachos or finally find a better spot to hide them.
Adora had never really minded on sharing food with Catra, but stealing nachos had become a thing, like an inside jock.

As the brunette had drained the pasta and mixed it with some sort of tuna condiment, somebody knocked at the door.
She silently walked to the door and opened it.
"So? I see you are making yourself home." Angella teased slightly.
"I've changed many houses lately. Want some tuna pasta?" Catra responded.
"No, thank you...will you stay?" The woman asked.
"I guess so, tonight for sure." The brunette mentioned, shifting her weight from side to side, nervously.
"Adora and my daughter will come back tomorrow at 6 pm. We usually have dinner together on Friday night, then their friend Bow comes over." She told her.
"Thanks, Angella." Said Catra nodding, before the Mayor turned and left.
The brunette closed the door.
