Adora was in pure bliss: deep in her best dreams and a gentle slumber...yet her senses seemed to not miss the existence of a world out of her bed.
She stirred, not really moving much as a weight was pinning her to the mattress, but the rings of the doorbell were unbearable.
"Tell them to leave!" A lazy, raspy hiss came from right under her right ear and that was the clue that made her baby blue eyes open up.
She was in their united bed, naked, with a naked Catra sleeping on half of her body and someone desperately trying to make them stand up.
Memories of the night flooded in the blonde's head, flustering her on a level she had never experienced - satisfying and warming her soul, her body, her mind...
Plus, the proof: waking up to her Catra nuzzled in her, both of them bare for each other.

Had she won some kind of universal lottery? Was karma finally paying back? Was she dead and the whole night had been a heavenly dream?

Honestly, Adora didn't really care, she just meant to bask into it.

"Ugh! Why don't they stop?!" Catra growled, refusing to open her eyes or leaving her spot, just trying to get closer to the warm, welcoming and firm body that was in her arms.
"They will stop eventually." The blonde dismissed it in a sudden wave of selfishness, too preoccupied in maintaining the spell and get a little more sleep.

How long could they have been gone to bed? Three hours? Four?

Surely not enough.

But the doorbell kept ringing.
"Please, go away..." Catra complained exhausted, curling up to Adora.
It was the cutest thing ever.
And the blonde didn't want her friend's rest to end, especially after all she had done for and to her.
"Ok...I'm going...I hope it's important..." Adora eventually gave up with a sigh.
She gently pushed Catra to get free from her grip and kissed her cheek and neck and shoulder before standing up.
That did make the sleeping beauty open up an eye to sneak the view of her roommate throwing on whatever clothes and leave their bedroom.

Still trying to regain conciseness, Adora stirred, yawned and looked around her apartment.
Laid on the ground were forgotten her top, their shoes and their bags.
She blushed and bolted to the garment, tossing it fastly in the bathroom before opening the door.
"I'm here! I'm here!" She said, before facing her pink best friend.
Pink angry upset mad raging furious worried best friend.
"What the hell Adora?!" She exclaimed so aloud that felt like a punch.
"Where were you?! We were worried sick! You didn't go to work and nobody could contact you! What fucking behaviour is that?!" Glimmer bursted in her scowl.
"Didn't go to wor- oh! Fuck! I totally forgot! I slept in! Jeez! What time is it?! Where is my phone?!" The blonde started to freak, rushing to her purse still forgotten on the ground.
She unzipped it, opened it and her phone was barely alive - 2% of battery - with a loooong list of missed calls and worried texts.

8:47, she usually headed to work at 6:40.

"Shit! Shit! Shit! I'm mortified! I didn't mean to! We went to the karaoke and the tacos place, then came back, then - I'm so sorry I overslept!" Adora apologised on the verge of tears.
All the happiness from the best night of her life was being replaced by the more familiar guilt, anxiety and weight of responsibilities.

She missed the so much more lovable weight of her favourite person sleeping on her.

"Ehy, Dora, it's alright, don't panic...it can happen, we were just worried that you got into some trouble! You are a magnet for those! And let's be honest, Catra would dive in with you, so we were worried about two idiots rather then one. Are you guys ok?" Glimmer interjected, stepping in and gripping the blonde's shoulders.
"Ye-yea, we are all good...she is actually sleeping in the bed...I'm so sorry I ruined your morning!" Adora said, unable to ignore the stinging guilt in her chest.
